Listen, we all know that Zulily’s discounts can be blinding — up to 80% off pretty much anything you need in your life? Yes, please. But before you shop Zulily’s jaw-dropping deals to outfit your home and family, take a minute to familiarize yourself with the Zulily return policy. Why? Because Zulily’s return policy might not be what you expect.
There’s a surprising number of items Zulily won’t accept back, including furniture and certain electronics. And even if you’re able to return something, you’ll have to fork over a $4.95 fee just to send it back! Here’s what to know so you can get a refund every time.
If you’re already an avid Zulily shopper, start by downloading The Krazy Coupon Lady app and adding Zulily as a “favorite” so you’ll get notified about all their best deals.
1. You can return clothing and smaller housewares to Zulily — but that’s about it.
Always read the full product listings on Zulily before you buy something to check whether or not a product can be returned. While you can return most clothing and housewares, there are many items that they’ll simply never take back.
For example, if you click through and read the product description for this deal on a Loungie bean bag chair we found, you’ll see it says, “This item is not eligible for return.”
- Intimate apparel
- Custom/personalized items
- Hygiene products
- Furniture and other heavy/bulky items
- Select electronics
- Certain luxury items
TIP: To be extra safe, you can always read through the fine print of the Zulily Return Policy prior to making a purchase.
2. Keep clothing tags attached, and don’t wear or alter your items if you want your money back.
Make sure your tags stay on and you keep items in their original condition (and packaging) if you want to ensure they’ll accept your return.
Clothing must not be worn or washed, and any warranty cards or accessories must be kept with the original packaging.
3. Don’t expect to exchange your sweater for another size.
Because of limited supply, Zulily offers store credit only when you return an item — no exchanges.
Keep in mind that some Zulily sales last just 72 hours, and items can run out and never become available again. So choose your sizes wisely!
It may be worth it to buy an item in two different sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit. Just remember that you’ll have to pay a $4.95 fee to return the unwanted item.

4. Pay a flat rate of $4.95, no matter how many items you return to Zulily.
Zulily’s flat return fee of $4.95 includes shipping and handling for as many items as you need to return. So be sure to send all your returnable items at once!
Once they receive your item and approve it, you’ll see the $4.95 return fee deducted from your store credit refund.
5. To initiate a return, you have to submit a return request online.
Just go to the My Orders page and sort by “Returnable” to locate and start your request.
And be sure to let them know if you have more than one item to return at the same time so you don’t have to pay the $4.95 return fee twice.
Once you submit a return request to Zulily, you’ll hear back from their return submissions team within one business day.
6. You only have 30 days to return your Zulily purchases — unless you shopped during the holidays.
The Zulily return policy gives you 30 days to submit a return request and ship items back to Zulily. But there may be one exception.
In the past, we’ve seen Zulily more than double their 30-day return window during the holiday shopping season.
For example, items purchased between Nov. 7, 2022, and Dec. 19, 2022, could be returned for store credit (minus the $4.95 return fee) all the way until Jan. 31, 2023. So the holiday return window can last as long as 85 days.
7. Ship your returns back to Zulily in any box.
If you tossed out the original Zulily shipping box, no worries. Any similar box you have around your house will work just fine.
Just make sure old shipping labels are removed before adding the new shipping label.
8. Look for Zulily store credit instead of a card refund.
Within five business days of Zulily receiving your return, you should see a store credit show up in your Zulily account.
Check your store credit balance on your Invites & Credits page (when you’re logged in) to make sure the credit came through.
9. But purchases you make on a Zulily credit card will get refunded back to the card.
Without the Zulily credit card, you’ll only get store credit for Zulily returns. But if you’re a Zulily credit card holder, you’ll get a refund back to the card once you make a return (minus the $4.95 return fee, of course).
10. Returning a gift will result in store credit, not a cash refund.
Just like regular returns, gifts are also returnable for store credit within 30 days of purchase. So let the recipient know they can either keep the gift or get store credit put onto their account.
Gift returns will need to be done via email using firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 877-779-5615 so they can help you put the credit on the right account.
