Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World in Florida offers amazing military discounts. A four-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket is only $156 each plus tax for up to 6 tickets. That’s almost $200 in savings per person! You can even add the Water Park Fun and More option for $28 plus tax, which gives you 4 additional days at Disney water parks, DisneyQuest, mini golf, or a 9 hole walking golf course. Sweet!
The deals don’t stop at park tickets. Disney has discounted rooms at all of its hotels up to 40 percent, as well, though only a certain number of rooms are available at the discounted rate.
Just like any deal, there are a few disclaimers:
- Discounts are open to active duty and retired military members including Reserves, National Guard, and US Coast Guard and their spouses with a valid military ID.
- The ticket purchaser must activate the tickets.
- Tickets are available at participating U.S. military base ticket offices (possibly at an even bigger discount!) and at Disney Guest Relations.
- Select blackout dates also apply and, as of right now, the promotion is for travel before September 28, 2013.
SeaWorld’s family of parks, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Water Country USA, and Sesame Place located all over the U.S. are offering a free one-time admission for military members and up to three direct dependents! These parks are educational and a lot of fun, with animal exhibits, roller coasters, water rides, and more. The offer is good only for active duty, activated or drilling reservists, or National Guardsmen (no retirees, it seems, for this deal) and direct dependents. Dependents must be 18 or over or accompanied by a military ID holder, and children over 10 must show valid military dependent ID. A voucher is also required for this offer. It can be obtained at www.herosalute.com. This offer is valid through December 31, 2013.
Looking for movie fun and thrills? Universal Studios in Orlando may be the place for you. This ticket must be purchased at a base ticket office by May 15, 2013 and used by June 30. You must also complete an Acknowledgment Form and sign your name on your free ticket. At Universal you must present your ticket and valid military ID to activate it. The ticket must be used on the same day as activation. This ticket allows access to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Dependents and any civilians with military base access are also able to visit Universal at a discount. They are eligible to purchase up to 6 of the 2-Day Park-to-Park tickets with a 3rd day free. This ticket must also be purchased at a base ticket office with a valid military ID.
Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN is the place for down-home fun in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Dollywood and Dolly’s Splash Country offer 30 percent off the regular ticket prices to valid military ID holders including dependents. Just present the ID at the front gate.
