Roughly twice a year we are graced with a Wayfair 5 Days of Deals event. As the name suggests, it's a five-day sale with discounts up to 75%. That's as close to the 80% off we get during Way Day as you're likely to find at Wayfair throughout the year. Even the Wayfair Anniversary Sale typically only fetches up to 70% off. All this to say, when there's a 5 Days of Deals event — take a looksee.

In 2024, we've already seen a Wayfair 5 Days of Deals event in April. With historical dates in mind, we predict we'll get another one at the tail end of July, about a month ahead of their Summer Clearance.

Now with 5 Days of Deals you'll see free site-wide shipping (love that) and some flash deals, too, For example, deals that drop on Day 1 may only be available for 24 hours (or until inventory runs out).

What is Wayfair 5 Days of Deals?

Essentially it's exactly as the name suggests — five whole days of deals at Wayfair. You can expect up to 75% off during this sale, with the event happening at least twice a year (typically in April and July).

We predict Wayfair 5 Days of Deals will return on July 26, 2024.

Last year, this sale ran from July 28 - Aug. 1, 2023. With that in mind, we think it will pop up around a similar time in 2024, hence our July 26 prediction.

How do we make our prediction?

So, with this particular sale it can be a little tricky, because dates have varied widely in the past. But, since the dates for the spring sale in 2023 and 2024 line up pretty closely, we're expecting the summer event to follow 2023. Let's take a look:

July 28 - Aug. 1, 2023
March 31 - April 4, 2023
Oct. 7 - 11, 2022

Tips to Shop the Sale

Ahead of the next 5 Days of Deals, brush up on our favorite Wayfair shopping hacks.

Save more when you buy open box deals.

If the idea of purchasing an open box item (something that was previously purchased and returned to Wayfair) makes you nervous, we get it. However, if it's an item already on sale, you may reap even more savings with an open box option. Know that all open box listings have been fully vetted by Wayfair as being in like new condition and fully operational.

Filter prices from low to high to see the cheapest deals.

When you're shopping Wayfair, apply filters so that your search tums up prices from low to high. But, there is a catch here. Wayfair will list these as the lowest price per piece. So let's say you're looking at drinkware. Your search will likely first show bulk offerings, like a 72-piece glassware set where each drinking glass breaks down to $0.59 each, but the total price is $42.31. In this case you would want to apply a filter from the left-hand side of your screen determing the 'Set Size' you want.

Learn the Wayfair return policy before you buy.

In our experience, the Wayfair return policy isn't the best. Now this isn't to say they don't have good customer service, but that return policy doesn't allow for a lot of leniency. You only have 30 days from the date of delivery to return something to Wayfair, and it cannot be used or even assembled. Also, those open box items we just mentioned? Those are not returnable, no matter what. So really think before you buy just about anything from the retailer.
