Frontier Airlines may be known as the ultra-low-cost carrier (you’re pretty much just buying a seat). But Frontier Airlines deals do pop up more often than not so you can fly for extra cheap. And we mean CHEAP! We’re talking like $18 one-way, as we frequently see with their sales for Discount Den members.
Through Oct. 18 you can book one-way flights for as low as $18. Plus, you can grab the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Monthly Pass for only $49 for your first month. Just remember, these deals won’t last long.
Before we jump into the current flight deal, it’s essential to know that virtually everything is an add-on cost with Frontier Airlines. Want extra legroom? That’ll cost you. Bringing a carry-on? That’s going to cost you, too. But for a cheap flight just to get you from A to B, flying Frontier might be worth it.
Whether you want the inside scoop on all the ways to make flying Frontier worth it, details on the new Frontier Go Wild! Pass, or the latest Frontier Airlines deals, we’ve got you covered. 3. Pay $999 for unlimited flights with the Go Wild! Summer Pass.
Still wanting to plan a last-minute trip? Frontier launched a GoWild! Summer Pass for $999 per year. The GoWild! Summer Pass gives you the ability to book a ticket for $0.01 on select flights through Sept. 30, 2023.
Your Summer Pass will automatically renew at $999 unless you cancel. This deal sounds like a dream for frequent flyers, but there is one big catch. Flights can’t be booked any earlier than 24 hours before departure. If you’re still interested in this pass, let’s look at some more details next.
Where can you fly with the GoWild! Pass?
Per the fine print, flyers can travel to destinations within the U.S., including Puerto Rico. It doesn’t give any details about international destinations, so it’s safe to assume those are off-limits and you’ll only be flying domestically.
Other essential details about the Go Wild! Pass:
- You must be 18 or older to get a Go Wild! Pass.
- You can purchase your pass now, and flights will be available to book beginning May 2, 2023.
- Go Wild! Pass flights are available for booking the day before departure.
- You’ll still be charged for any add-on products like advance seat assignments, carry-on baggage, and checked baggage.
- There’s a $0.01 charge for each flight segment booked.
- Taxes and fees still apply and are the responsibility of the pass holder.
- Passes are nontransferable, and you can’t book a flight for anyone else, even children under the age of 18.
- Wild Pass! travel doesn’t earn miles or status.
- You’ll need to cancel your pass after the first year to avoid being charged the $1,999 renewal fee for the Annual Pass or the $999 renewal fee for the Summer Pass.
Are there blackout dates with the All-You-Can-Fly Passes?
Yep! There are some clearly defined blackout dates for 2023 and into 2024.
2023 blackout dates:
- June 29 – 30
- July 1 – 5, 8, 9
- Aug. 31
- Sept. 1, 4
- Oct. 5 – 6, 9
- Nov. 18, 22, 24 – 27
- Dec. 16 – 17, 22 – 24, 26 – 31
2024 blackout dates:
- Jan. 1, 15
- Feb. 15 – 16, 19

4. Save 70% on the GoWild! Fall & Winter Pass and pay $299 for unlimited flights.
Just like the GoWild! Summer pass, the new GoWild! Fall & Winter Pass lets you take as many flights as you want between Sept. 2 and Feb. 29.
You can book domestic flights just one day before you want to fly out, and for international flights, you can book 10 days before departure. When you book, you’ll be charged $0.01 for each flight segment. Remember, you’ll still have to pay any taxes, fees, and charges at the time of booking. The good news is that any travel counts as an activity and will help keep your Frontier Miles from expiring. Plus, you get special early access and exclusive offers.
When you buy the pass, you’re automatically enrolled for the whole season’s travel dates. If you’re not careful, your pass will renew for the next Fall and Winter season at the price at that time, unless you go into your Frontier Miles account and cancel it before midnight Mountain Time on the last day of travel for the Fall and Winter Pass, which is Feb. 29, 2024. So make sure to set a reminder if you don’t want it to auto-renew!
5. Are Frontier Airlines deals really worth it?
It’s a no-brainer that Frontier has cheap flights, but are those cheap flights really worth it after you factor in everything else? Frontier nickel-and-dimes you for pretty much E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
Frontier Baggage Fees

Frontier has three bag categories: personal items, carry-on bags, and checked bags. Passengers are allowed one personal item-sized bag for free, but for the other two, you’ll be charged a fee. The price of the carry-on bag fee varies; it was over $50 for me on one flight, but it can be included in the purchase of the Works Package. A checked bag fee can be as low as $48, while oversized (50+ pounds) checked baggage will cost you a hefty $75.
Extra Fees
Want to check in online? You’d think that would be free and convenient, but nope. That’ll cost you $5. And don’t even think about opting for check-in with an airport agent — that will cost up to $25 per passenger (they call it their Airport Agent Assistance Charge).
If you’d like to board first, that’ll cost you $5.99 – $9.99 per passenger, per direction. And if you’d like Flight Flexibility to change your flight date or time, that’ll be $15 – $55 per passenger, per direction.
If you want your furry buddy to join you on your flight, there’s a pet charge of $99 per pet, per direction (nonrefundable). And if you want to choose your seat, that’ll cost you $11 per passenger, per flight segment (nonrefundable, too).
That said, you can see that Frontier charges for almost everything. So take that into consideration when booking a discounted deal from Frontier.
TIP: When flying a low-cost airline, also keep in mind that you might not get the same compensation for delayed flights as other airlines.
6. What can you bring for free on Frontier?

As mentioned above, personal items are free to bring on your flight.
If you’re traveling with children, you won’t be charged a fee for checking a stroller or a car seat. The stroller gets checked in free of charge at the gate. And if you choose to bring a car seat, you can use it on the plane as long as your child has their own purchased seat.
Frontier Airlines allows infants (from seven days old) and children (up to the child’s second birthday) to fly free of charge in an adult’s lap. The adult traveling with the infant may carry a second personal item, such as a diaper bag, free of charge.
7. Kids fly free for Discount Den members.

If you’re traveling with kids under 14, as a Discount Den member, you can get their tickets for free! Only one kid can fly for free for every one adult (15+) ticket purchased on the booking. The downside: it’s only available for select round-trip domestic flights and can’t be combined with other offers or promo codes.
8. Use Google Flights to help find discounted fares within the promotion period.

Using the Frontier website to find the actual flights for these hot deals can be like putting together a puzzle when pieces are missing. One tip is to use Google Flights to search for low-cost flights on the allowed days for the promotion (find the allowed days in the fine print). Don’t actually book it on Google Flights, though. Use the site just for research, and then plug that flight information into Frontier’s website to jump right to the deal.
9. Frontier Airlines flies to over 100 U.S. cities and six international destinations.

Not familiar with Frontier Airlines? It’s the airline every budget traveler needs to know about. You can use our Frontier Airlines hacks to make the experience a little more enjoyable.
Frontier often has the cheapest airfare, but prices are “unbundled,” which means there’s usually a small fee for extras like choosing your own seat or adding baggage. Some people say Frontier doesn’t have the most comfortable seats either, but if you’re willing to overlook the lack of luxuries, you can travel for dirt cheap!
