Earlier, we posted about Black Friday hotel deals. Check it out. There are some great ones offered on Friday and Monday.  However, hotels aren’t the only travel sector jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon. Travel booking sites and tour companies are also offering Thanksgiving weekend specials.  Below are a few of the highlights:

  • Travelocity. The mega-travel site is teasing prospective travelers with talk of offers up to 50 percent off of regular prices…BUT, the details won’t be announced until midnight on November 25. They’ve set up a special page for Black Friday sales, but it won’t be active until Black Friday.  We’ll just have to visit early to see if the offers live up to the hype.
  • Yuupon. This is a new site to me. It’s a Groupon clone that deals with travel. Yuupon is offering a deal ever hour on November 25 and again on November 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The preview literature says the deals will be up to 90 percent off and include things like rooms in Branson for $13, $25 gas cards for $2 (I’ll be looking out for this one), and rooms in Orlando for $18.  I think it’s worth checking out. If you sign up for the Yuupon newsletter, you’ll get a preview of the Black Friday offers sent to you on Thanksgiving.
  • Orbitz. Another mega-travel site, Orbitz is promoting Black Friday/Cyber Monday travel discounts of up to 50 percent. Their special Black Friday site won’t be active until 12:00 a.m. on November 25 and will be shut down at 11:59 p.m. on November 28.

Do you know of any other Black Friday/Cyber Monday travel deals you’d like to share?
