Amazon is giving away $10 free credit to select Prime members who link their Venmo and Amazon accounts — just in time for Amazon Black Friday shopping.
Venmo is an online payment system and a digital wallet (owned by PayPal) that lets you pay and request money with the tap of a button. Amazon has accepted PayPal as a form of payment for years, but started accepting Venmo in late October 2022.
We love free Amazon credits, especially during the holidays. So how do you get these credits? How long will this offer be available? Here’s what you need to know about the Amazon-Venmo offer.
Prime members: Check your email for the Venmo offer.
There are lots of Amazon deals throughout the year that are targeted to specific users, and the Venmo free credits offer is one of them.
Check your email to see if Amazon invited you to link your Venmo and Amazon accounts. If you’re eligible for the deal, you’ll have the email (but make sure to check your spam folder, too).
You’ll get $10 in Amazon credits once you add your Venmo account as one of your Amazon payment options. Here’s how you do it:
- Log in to Amazon with your account info.
- Visit the ‘Your Account‘ page.
- Select ‘Your Payments.’
- Select ‘Add a Payment Method’ at the bottom of the left column.
- Choose ‘Add Your Venmo Account.’
- Follow the steps to login to your Venmo account; choose whether to make it your default payment method.
Tip: If you’re one of the select Prime members chosen for this offer, you have until Dec. 31, 2022, to link your accounts and earn the credits — while supplies last.
You have 30 days to use your free Amazon credits before they expire.
Once you qualify for the free Amazon credits by linking your Venmo account, you’ll have 30 days to spend those credits.
If you don’t have Venmo, you can sign up for free (and get $10 more in credits).
