Harris Teeter pickup is quick, easy, and you can even use coupons on your curbside pickup order. If you're not familiar with Harris Teeter's curbside pickup service, no worries. I've written out how it works and what you need to know.
Find Harris Teeter's curbside pickup service at a participating location.
ExpressLane Online Shopping is Harris Teeter's answer to delivery and curbside pickup. To take advantage of ExpressLane, you first need to find a Harris Teeter near you that offers the service and create a Harris Teeter account. You can also download the Harris Teeter app if you prefer to shop on the go.
Harris Teeter pickup charges a $4.95 service fee per order.
Curbside pickup orders require a $25 minimum order. They'll waive the fee if it's your first curbside pickup order, but if you're a frequent Harris Teeter shopper, you might consider their Yearly Subscription for $99.95 (it breaks down to just $8.32 a month, which is way cheaper than their Monthly Subscription for $16.95).
For same-day curbside pickup, you must place your order by 3 p.m.
You'll also need to account for a four-hour lead time to ensure your store associate has enough time to gather your order. If you want to plan ahead, you can order as far as six days in advance.
You can reserve a pickup time slot online or through the Harris Teeter app.
Just keep in mind that Harris Teeter reserves time slots for senior shoppers on Thursdays from 9 a.m - 2 p.m.
You can also include prescriptions with your ExpressLane order.
At order checkout, you'll have the option to include prescriptions with your curbside pickup order. Just submit your prescription request to the pharmacy ahead of time, and schedule your curbside pickup time slot during pharmacy hours, which are:
Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
You can apply weekly ad and e-VIC coupons through the Harris Teeter app or online.
You'll find these promotions while shopping through the app or online, but keep in mind that e-VIC deals are for VIC rewards members only (you can register for a VIC membership online, but you'll need to visit Customer Service in person to get your VIC card).
Once you're a VIC member with a valid VIC card, you can sign up for e-VIC benefits with your email address. You'll get weekly emails on Wednesdays and Fridays with updates on promotions and sales, plus you can apply those digital coupons and promotions directly to your curbside pickup orders.
You won't see your discounted total on your online checkout receipt; you'll only see it on your printed receipt at curbside pickup.
