A ShopRite grocery store with plants up front

ShopRite is one of the biggest retailers' cooperatives in the country. This means although all stores operate under the same ShopRite brand, individual stores are privately owned. And since stores are individually owned, ShopRite's coupon policy may differ by location.

Learn your local ShopRite's coupon policy and pay attention here! This is how to coupon at ShopRite.

Sign up for a free Price Plus club card.

First things first ā€” sign up for a Price Plus club card either online or at your local ShopRite. Being a member gets you access to storewide discounts, exclusive promotions, and free holiday foods (like a free Thanksgiving turkey!).

Being a member will also allow you to add digital coupons to your card. These digital coupons are automatically applied to your total at checkout. Just have the cashier scan your card or enter a linked phone number.

Add ShopRite digital coupons to your Price Plus card every Sunday.

Clip digital coupons to your Price Plus club card in the Digital Coupon Center on ShopRite.com, at in-store kiosks, or in the free ShopRite app. Try to clip digital coupons on Sundays when the ShopRite circular is released because there are only so many available.

ShopRite digital coupons are manufacturer coupons that can't be used with paper manufacturer coupons on the same item. These digital coupons can only be used once per transaction unless it's a "Limit 4 Offer." Limit 4 coupons can be used up to four times in a single transaction.

Use up to four of the same paper manufacturer coupons in a single transaction.

ShopRite digital coupons may be convenient, but unless it's a Limit 4 Offer, you can only use them once. That's where good ol' paper coupons come in.

You can get paper manufacturer coupons in your Sunday newspaper, directly from brands, or print them for free from sites like Coupons.com.

Don't worry, though ā€” we did all the coupon searching for you! Search for free coupons right here on KCL.

Find ShopRite Super Coupons in the Digital Coupon Center.

Super Coupons used to be mailed out to Price Plus club members, but recently ShopRite made them all available in one place and are now known as "Click, Don't Cut" offers in the Digital Coupon Center.

These offers are store coupons and can be used with other digital manufacturer coupons. You can't, however, use a digital Super Coupon with the same paper Super Coupon.

Usually Super Coupons require you to spend a certain amount at the store before you can redeem them.

Use Catalina manufacturer coupons from other stores at ShopRite.

Catalina coupons are those receipt-like offers that come out of a separate printer near the cash register at grocery and drugstores. Don't ever toss them!

Look for the words "manufacturer coupon" on Catalina offers. Even if a different store's branding is on them or the coupon says "Available at Walmart," you can still use the discount at ShopRite as long as it's clearly a manufacturer coupon.

ShopRite doesn't take store coupons (aka competitor coupons) from other retailers.

Pair coupons with ShopRite sales and promotions.

To get maximum savings at ShopRite, pair digital and/or paper coupons with products on sale. You can either study your ShopRite circular for discounts on the items you need and match coupons with those sales, or you can go the easy route and just visit the Krazy Coupon Lady's ShopRite deals page.

ShopRite deals are valid Sunday - Saturday and every week we'll review the ShopRite circular to match the best discounts with coupons. We'll even tell you where to find all the coupons you need.

We recommend you also download the free KCL app and set your favorite store to ShopRite. When we see a killer deal, you'll be the first to know about it.

Some ShopRite stores will double paper manufacturer coupons.

ShopRite is one of the only grocery stores that will double coupons. Only paper coupons valued at $0.99 or less can be doubled and doubling varies by store. That's why it's so important to check with your local ShopRite coupon policy.

Here's an example of a double coupon deal that combines a sale price on laundry detergent with paper manufacturer coupons from the RetailMeNot newspaper coupon insert:

Purex Laundry Detergent $2 each, when you buy 2 Use $1.00/1 ā€“ Purex Laundry Detergent 65 oz or larger or 4-in-1 Pacs from RMN Sept. 20 ā€“ limit 1 And use $0.50/1 ā€“ Purex Laundry Detergent 43.5-50 oz from RMN Sept. 20 Or $0.50/1 ā€“ Purex Crystals In-Wash Fragrance Booster from RMN Sept. 20 Final Price: $1.25 each, when you buy 2, or $1 with double

According to the ShopRite coupon policy, overages aren't allowed.

A coupon overage might happen if the value of your coupon exceeds the selling price of the product. If this happens, ShopRite will accept the coupon, but will decrease the coupon's value to match the selling price of the item. You won't get money back for the difference.

There are ways to get ShopRite moneymaker deals, though. Let me introduce you to. . .

Cash-back apps! Use them with coupons and sales to get more savings and moneymakers.

A woman holding a phone out in front of her, facing the camera, with the ibotta app open on it.

Cash-back apps are a great way to rake in additional savings when you shop. You can use them in conjunction with sales and coupons at ShopRite, and often the value of a cash-back offer will exceed the amount you paid at checkout. This is what we call a moneymaker.

Here's what a moneymaker deal looks like when you stack a ShopRite digital coupon with an Ibotta cash-back rebate:

Splenda Creamer, 32 oz $2.99 Use $2.00/1 ā€“ Splenda Creamer, Sept. 30 ā€“ Oct. 3, limit 4 (shoprite.com) Or $1.50/1 ā€“ Splenda Creamer from RMN Aug. 30 Or $1.00/1 ā€“ Splenda Creamer from RMN Aug. 30 And submit $1.50/1 ā€“ Splenda Coffee Creamer 32 oz, Ibotta Rebate (ibotta.com) Pay $0.99, submit for $1.50 Ibotta credit Final Price: $0.51 Moneymaker

Here are some of our favorite cash-back apps (download these ASAP!):

  • Fetch Rewards scans e-receipts and physical receipts. Just connect your email address to get your rebate.

  • Ibotta accepts printed receipts only. At ShopRite, you can ask for your receipt to be printed if you choose grocery pickup.

  • Checkout51 takes printed receipts and e-receipts now if you do grocery pickup. A customer service rep referred us to their Walmart e-receipt instructions to use with my ShopRite order.

Use paper and digital coupons when you do ShopRite from Home grocery pickup.

ShopRite charges a service fee for all grocery pickup orders, on top of your order total. They used to offer free grocery pickup for orders of $35 or more, but now the fee is typically $2.99 per order (but this can vary by location).

Just like in-store shopping, you can use cash-back app offers, ShopRite digital coupons, and paper manufacturer coupons with pickup orders. Hand over any paper coupons at pickup or clip digital coupons that automatically come off when you checkout.

You can only use digital coupons if you choose grocery delivery.

According to the ShopRite coupon policy, only digital coupons are accepted when you use ShopRite from Home grocery delivery.

With a $12.95+ service fee on top of your total order (service fee varies by area and distance), delivery is even pricier than grocery pickup. Luckily, there are additional ways to save on ShopRite from Home orders.

Every week, ShopRite releases exclusive online promotions that you can only access when signed into your account on their website or on the ShopRite app.

Here's an example of what an online promotion looks like:

Pet Care: Save $10 when you spend $35 or more on pet products. ($50 minimum spend required on all ShopRite from Home promotions.)
