Walgreens Delivery
Don't feel like stepping into Walgreens or doing Walgreens Curbside Pickup? Thankfully you have a lot of Walgreens delivery services to choose from. We've discovered how you can get anything — from your shampoo to your prescriptions — delivered right to your door. Sometimes you can even make it happen for free!

1. Get free Walgreens pharmacy delivery by planning ahead.
You need your meds when you need your meds. Giving it a two-day grace period doesn't always work. But when you plan ahead on your monthly refills, you can get free pharmacy delivery from Walgreens.
Most of the time, you can get free delivery in 1 – 2 days, as long as your health insurer allows you to participate and your prescription is an eligible drug.
If that feels like a lot of asterisks, you're not wrong. That's why it's great that Walgreens also offers free 5 – 10 day prescription drug delivery (unless you live in Mississippi). You might want to plan for this longer window the first time you attempt to place your order in the Walgreens app. That way, if the 1 – 2 day service falls through, you'll still have your meds on time with no gaps between.
2. Same-day Walgreens Rx delivery is available — for a fee.
Again, if your prescription is eligible and if your health insurer covers it, you can get same-day prescription delivery from Walgreens. You will have to place your order at least two hours before the pharmacy closes if you want to truly get it the same day. You'll also have to live within a 15-mile radius of the store location.
Technically, not all locations participate, but over 8,000 do. Each store sets their own delivery fees. In my region, even same-day delivery is free for prescriptions. But bear in mind that depending on where you live, you might pay extra for the expedited same-day service.
(Also, if your script is out of stock and they have to place a special order, the pharmacy might not be able to fulfill it the same day even if you place a same-day order.)
TIP: Same-day delivery orders at Walgreens typically get fulfilled in about an hour.
3. Get anything else from Walgreens delivery for a $5.99 fee.
You can totally order non-pharmacy items for same-day delivery, too. Fewer locations have this delivery service than the pharmacy delivery service, but there are still a lot of them.
So feel free to load up on school supplies, beauty products, or anything else you might need and get it delivered to your home in about an hour. Just remember you'll pay a delivery fee for this service. All my local stores charge $5.99, but your mileage may vary.
Luckily, there is a way to score free same-day delivery from Walgreens…
4. Spend at least $35 to avoid the Walgreens delivery fee.
Regardless of where you live, the minimum order to avoid the delivery fee is $35. Again, that minimum gets imposed on non-pharmacy items. Walgreens' pharmacy delivery and non-pharmacy delivery are two different services with two different sets of rules and fees.
5. Walgreens delivery service is available on Instacart, DoorDash, UberEats, and Postmates for a markup.
Instacart, DoorDash, UberEats, and Postmates are additional options for a Walgreens delivery service. You can link your myWalgreens account to these delivery services, too. That way your purchases still get tracked in your myWalgreens account.
When using a third-party delivery service, expect that the prices per item will come out higher than if you had purchased them in-store. Price increases can range from $0.10 all
the way up to $1. Not to mention the additional platform fees and the fact that you'll get asked to tip your delivery driver.
6. You can't order alcohol delivery from Walgreens — unless you live in Florida or Illinois.
Postmates, InstaCart, UberEats, and DoorDash can't deliver alcohol, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or tobacco from Walgreens.
However, if you order directly through Walgreens Delivery, you can include alcohol in your order — but only if you live in the exact right regions of Florida and Illinois.
7. Have your items left at your door or leave special instructions.
You can choose to meet your delivery driver at your door or have them leave your items at your doorstep. Plus, you can leave any special instructions at checkout for your order (like to give the driver a gate code, for instance).
