How to Reheat Pizza in an Air Fryer
Now, let’s get down to business. Here are our step-by-step tips for bringing that leftover pizza back to life.
1. Line your air fryer tray.

As your pizza reheats, the cheese is going to melt. To prevent it from burning to the bottom of your air fryer tray, you can use a piece of parchment.
But one of the appeals of reheating pizza in an air fryer is that you get a crispier crust. If that’s your goal, try using aluminum foil instead of parchment paper.
2. Add water to the outer air fryer basket.

Just because you want crispy crust doesn’t mean you want dry crust. Adding a bit of water to the outer basket of your air fryer can help replace any moisture the bread loses with all that heat.

3. Place your pizza slices.

With all that melty cheese, it’s important to make sure that your pizza slices aren’t touching. You don’t want to stack them either, or they’ll end up fusing together.
For most air fryers this means cooking one to two slices at a time. If you have a larger full-size air fryer, you should be able to fit more. Remember that the same rule applies, though: Make sure the slices aren’t touching.
4. Cook at 350 – 380 degrees.

Here’s where you’ll have to experiment a little bit, as not all air fryers cook exactly the same — especially not in all locations. Altitude can affect cook times.
If your fryer tends to run hot, start out by cooking at 350 degrees. If you know it tends to do the opposite, the max temperature you want to experiment with is 380 degrees.
For thin crust pizzas, start checking progress around the 3-minute mark. Depending on your fryer, you may need more time. Just check on it about every minute until you learn the nuances of your own air fryer’s cook times.
For thicker crusts, you’re usually safe making the first check at four minutes.
TIP: These temperatures are in Fahrenheit. If you’re cooking in Celsius, the range is about 177 – 193 degrees.
5. Cool and enjoy!
Your air fryer will legitimately cook your pizza, so don’t forget that hot cheese can be scalding. Give your reheated pizza a beat to cool before enjoying the best reheated pizza you’ve ever had in such a short cook time.
