This beautiful turquoise kitchen can be found as part of HGTV's 2013 Smart Home seen here. And for those of you who are fully in love with the setup, here's a way you can get this look in your home without having to pay for a designer to complete it!

Starting a space with the right paint colors does wonders for the room. You can get these gorgeous turquoise paints from your local Sherwin-Williams paint store. They are SW6478 Watery and SW6479Drizzle respectively.

The next major item in this space is obviously the seating. The rustic grey wash counter stools can be found at Boston Interiors. The Catalina Counter Stools come with the white cushion and are currently on sale for $179.95 each. Purchasing 3 to complete the look will be $539.85. You will need to call for shipping, however, as rates vary from state to state.

Lighting can be a key element in any room. To get a copy of the hanging pendant lighting pictured here, go to and look up their Darien Pendant by Hudson Valley. The medium-sized pendant is 11"D, and the historic finish matches the rustic look of the stools very nicely. The price of $550.00 each comes with free shipping. Or you can scale down the look a little and go with a smaller knockoff version in the Home Decorators Collection 1 Light Ceiling White Art Glass Cone Pendant. Sold by The Home Depot, this version is 7.75"D, but at $79.97 with free shipping, it's much more reasonably priced. And you could pick up 3 lights to fill in the space and still save!

When it comes to accessorizing this space, the decorator on HGTV admits to going a little overboard on the turquoise theme. But interior designer Linda Woodrum from the Smart Home design team says she placed a pop of color in the kitchen by adding a neat bowl of bright orange citrus fruit. The fruit is nestled in a Hammered Metal Serving Bowl similar to the one available at West Elm. This large-sized bowl sells for $24.00. West Elm also has a Metal Wrapped Wood Tray that matches very nicely with the bowl. It sells for $59.00, and both items currently have free shipping.

Also decorating the bar area is a beautiful vase of Paperwhite flowers. You can duplicate the vase through World Market. The large version of their Clear Glass Cylinder Vases sells for $12.74 plus $4.95 shipping.

The place settings here begin with a beautiful turquoise placemat. Available through, the Now Designs Round Disko Placemats come in a set of 4 and sell for $15.99 with $5.29 shipping, although they do qualify for Amazon's Super Saver Shipping with a purchase of $25.00 or more of qualifying items. The white-handled flatware is available through West Elm. The Dipped Flatware 5-pc place setting sells for $29.00 each and comes with free shipping.

The stemware here can be duplicated by purchasing the Artland Iris Goblet in Turquoise from This set of 4 goblets sells for $33.49 with $4.99 shipping. The white mugs can be purchased through  The 10 Strawberry Street white mugs come in a set of 12 for just $24.00 with free site to store shipping.

The unique dinnerware displayed here is a little trickier to duplicate. But you can find similar pieces at American Chateau. The 6" Art Glass Swirl Turquoise Round Deep Cereal Soup Bowls come in a set of 6 for $61.99 with $9.39 shipping. While they do not have round dinner plates available anymore, their 13" Art Glass Square Turquoise Swirl Large Dinner Plates would be an interesting alternative while still keeping the same color theme. The set of 4 plates sells for $61.99 with $9.39 shipping. And while they’re not shown in the pictures, if you want to complete the dish set, American Chateau also has a set of 6 Art Glass Round Turquoise Dessert Salad Plates available for $55.99 with $8.34 shipping.

Finishing off the look is a napkin and napkin ring set that stands out because of the spider-like look and different coloring. The designer has chosen to offset the turquoise with a green fretwork design napkin. You can duplicate the look with the Pine Cone Hill Chevron Napkin in Sprout color choice available through Wayfair. This set of 4 napkins sells for $37.00 with $4.99 shipping. The Kim Seybert Spider Beaded Bursts Napkin Rings can be purchased through Fine Linen and Bath. The set of 4 sells for $54.00 with $14.00 shipping.

All said, with a little searching and a little creativity, it is very possible to achieve a designer look in your own home without the fees associated with hiring an actual professional designer. This designer kitchen can be duplicated for approximately $2,200.00. And keep in mind, many websites such as Wayfair and Amazon offer free shipping when you purchase a certain dollar amount or more.
