If you're buying M&M'S® during your regular grocery run (for parties or your own personal stash), and you're not part of the M&M'S® Fun Club, you're leaving sweet rewards on the table.
The M&M'S® Fun Club lets you earn points toward swag and other prizes no matter where you buy your M&M'S® — you just need to scan your receipt. You can even use it alongside other rewards apps you already use. Here's how to make the most of the program and have fun while doing it.
The easiest way to earn points (1 point per 1¢) is to scan your receipts when you buy M&M'S®.

Once you sign up for the M&M'S® Fun Club, you can scan your receipts and earn 1 point per 1¢ spent on eligible M&M'S® products. (By the way, new members of the program get 200 points to start.)
Currently, eligible products include the following:
M&M'S® Milk Chocolate candies
M&M'S® Peanut chocolate candies
M&M'S® Peanut Butter and Jelly chocolate candies
M&M'S® Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches
And more. See the full list.
You can earn rewards no matter where you buy your M&M'S®.
It doesn't matter whether you buy those M&M'S® at the grocery store, at a drugstore, online, or at your big box store of choice; you can scan your receipt with your phone's camera and get rewards. The receipt just needs to include the date you made the purchase, the eligible item, and the amount you spent on those specific items. Sometimes, you'll find bonus offers of extra points spent at certain stores, so keep an eye out.
Earn even more points by doing challenges and entering contests.
You can accelerate your earnings by checking out the available challenges which can get you more points.
Here are some really easy challenges I found (point values and challenges available might vary):
Surveys (100 points for two questions about your favorite types of M&M'S).
Viewing recipes (100 points just to look).
Recruit a friend (400 points when they join via your link, which you can get when logged in to M&M'S® Fun Club).
Trivia (33 points per question).
Viewing M&M'S® social media posts (5 points per post you click on from M&M'S® Fun Club site).
"Which M&M'S® Character Are You?" Quiz (20 points per question): I got the Orange M&M'S®, by the way.
There are other more involved challenges for various amounts of points, like submitting photos of giving M&M'S® as a gift, or creating a culinary masterpiece with M&M'S®. I stuck to the easy challenges above, though, and racked up 1,205 points in about 10 minutes.
Once you reach get enough points, you can start redeeming them for M&M'S® swag and sweepstake entries.
Once you've earned enough points, you can start redeeming them for mugs, hats, tumblers, puzzles, candles, and more M&M'S® themed goodies. You can also use your points to enter sweepstakes, if they're available. In the past, M&M'S® has offered a sweepstakes for a sleepover at the M&M'S® store, so keep an eye out.
While it can take a while to earn swag from receipts alone, M&M'S® Fun Club is a low-lift way to earn prizes on the M&M'S® you'd be buying anyway for movie night, parties, and gifts. And there are enough simple challenges that you can rack up a decent number of points whenever you have a spare few minutes. Since you can use it alongside other rewards programs, you can think of it as the cherry (or the mini M&M'S®) on top of your rewards sundae.
You can earn M&M'S® points, plus store and cash-back rewards, on the same purchase.
The cool thing about the M&M'S® Fun Club receipt scanning is that you can double-dip (or even triple-dip) on rewards. For example, you could earn rewards through your store's rewards program and still scan your receipt with the M&M'S® Fun Club and earn points on the bag of M&M'S® you bought. Or you could also scan your receipt with your cash-back rebate app of choice (like Fetch or Ibotta) and also scan with M&M'S® Fun Club. Or combine all three!
