Did you know Target’s Labor Day sale is actually a big deal? When you think of the holiday weekend, your mind probably goes to grills and appliances at other retailers — but Target has plenty of end-of-summer finds worth grabbing. You’ll see markdowns on clothing, patio sets, home decor, and furniture, plus extra savings on Target school supplies and even groceries. And with early Target Black Friday deals right around the corner, Labor Day is when Target clears shelves to make room.

KCL predicts the 2026 Target Labor Day sale will run Aug. 30 - Sept. 7.

Although Target hasn’t announced the dates for their 2026 Labor Day sale, we expect the deals to start Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, and run through Monday, Sept. 7. Target deals will be available both in stores and online, with discounts on summer clearance, Target school supplies, and more.
How do we make our prediction?
Target typically launches its Labor Day sale the Sunday before Labor Day and runs it straight through the holiday. In 2025, the sale ran Sunday, Aug. 24, through Monday, Sept. 1. In 2024, Target had an additional sale that ran the Friday before Labor Day until Labor Day, but we didn't see that in 2025. With Labor Day falling later in 2026, that same pattern would put the next sale on Sunday, Aug. 30, through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
