Looks like Amazon Prime Day 2021 is returning to the summer. July came and went in 2020 without a Prime Day, but once it finally came in October, it was the biggest ever.

Prime Day 2021 will take place June 21-22, 2021.
After Amazon execs leaked that Prime Day would be in the second quarter of 2021 (April-June), Bloomberg released a report that the two-day sale would happen on a Monday-Tuesday, June 21-22, 2021.
One of the reasons they’re moving it earlier? The Tokyo Olympics. Amazon doesn’t want any competition for your attention or resources.
With the exception of the 2020 Prime Day (thanks to the pandemic), Prime Day has always been in July.
Amazon has delayed Prime Day in Canada & India due to Covid-19.
The ongoing Covid-19 infection crisis in India, as well as a new surge of the virus in Canada (and a recent outbreak at an Amazon plant in Ontario) has led Amazon to pull those countries from the June sale.
The word Amazon is using is “postponed,” so they’re still planning on holding a sale for the world’s third- and tenth-largest economies.
Expect Early Prime Day Deals on Amazon devices any day now.
The massively successful 2020 Prime Day introduced us to more than two weeks of Early Prime Day Deals and promos leading up to the Oct. 13-14 event.
Those early deals hit about two-and-a-half weeks before Prime Day last year, so expect to see them appear in early June. Also keep an eye out for ways to earn Amazon credits, such as “spend $10 at Whole Foods and get $10 to spend on Prime Day“.

Expect Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and others to hold simultaneous sales.
They’ve been doing it for the past couple of years. Target Deal Days, the Big Save event at Walmart, and Prime Day-timed sales at Best Buy have all looked to get online shoppers’ attention.
These stores followed Amazon to October last year, and they’ll follow them to June 21-22.
