Amazon’s Black Friday sale is one of the most anticipated among Black Friday sales. Not only is it a long sale (it kicks off a full week before Thanksgiving), it's one of the heavy-hitters on Black Friday. We often see Amazon undercutting other retailers' Black Friday deals on hot products like headphones and Apple products. And it's time to shop those deals, because Amazon's Black Friday sale is here, running Nov. 20 - Dec. 1.
Best of the Best Amazon Black Friday Deals

What KCL Experts Think You Should Know
-
Here's when to shop: Unlike some retailers that run multiple waves of deals, Amazon is having one long Black Friday sale, which runs Nov. 20 - Dec. 1 (aka Cyber Monday). During the sale, expect some Amazon deals to run the whole sale (until they sell out), others to run for just a day at a time, and Lightning Deals to run for a few hours at most.
-
Here's when deals drop: Amazon will drop the deals at 12:01 a.m. PT on Nov. 20. They have a tradition of starting all their sales at that time, whether it's Prime Day or Black Friday.
-
New this year, you'll see gift card giveaways: Starting Nov. 20, if you're signed up for marketing emails or push notifications in the Amazon app, you could randomly receive a $50 gift card.
-
Don't miss out on travel deals: Amazon is bringing back Black Friday travel deals. If you book through the Amazon travel booking site, you can get 50% off Expedia hotel booking and earn 15% back (in the form of an Amazon gift card) on Avis car rentals.

-
Look for subscription discounts: In addition to offering sales on products, Amazon often gives free trials of its subscriptions, like Kindle Unlimited or Amazon Music Unlimited, during Black Friday. We've seen up to four months free in the past.
-
Look for gift cards up to 20% off: Black Friday through Cyber Monday, Amazon customers can usually save on gift cards with Lightning Deals and promotional credit offers from top brands and restaurants. In 2024, we saw up to 20% off gift cards from retailers like Bath & Body Works, Krispy Kreme, IHOP, Jamba, and Victoria's Secret.
Gift cards make great gifts, but they're also a great savings tactic, because you can buy a discounted gift card to spend at a place you regularly shop.
-
Shop Amazon Fresh for deals on the Thanksgiving meal: Through Amazon's grocery delivery service, you can get a turkey and selection of sides to feed five people for $5 per person. You needed to live in an area with Amazon grocery delivery or an Amazon Fresh store to get this offer. While Aldi and Walmart have cheaper Thanksgiving meal bundles this year (at $4 per person), Amazon wins with the turkey price: just $0.69 per pound.
-
Always comparison shop: While some of Amazon's Black Friday deals are the best there is, a few things might be cheaper at other stores. For example, you can get the Ninja Slushi at Kohl's Black Friday sale for the same price as Amazon ($269.99), plus get $75 in Koh'ls Cash on top of it (starting Nov. 23).
Tips on How to Make Your Deal Shopping a Success
1. Shopping Options: Amazon's Black Friday sale is online only. If you have Amazon Prime, you'll get free 2-day (or faster) shipping on your order. If you don't have Prime, you'll need to spend $35 or more.
2. Doorbusters: You can consider Amazon Lightning Deals to be the Amazon equivalent of doorbusters. These are deals offered in short supply at discounts of up to 90% off for a limited time. Once they're gone, they're gone. Prime members get access to Lightning Deals 30 minutes before everyone else, which can help you get Black Friday deals before they sell out. If you're a Prime member, hit the "Prime Early Access" box on the Daily Deals page to shop early. Not a Prime member yet? You can sign up for Prime here.
In addition to the blink-and-you'll-miss-them Lighting Deals, Amazon will offer daily deal drops, with 24-hour savings on certain brands like Squishmallows and Keurig.
3. Membership: You don't have to be a Prime member to shop Amazon's Black Friday sale. But Prime members do get some exclusive deals, as well as free fast shipping.
4. Holiday Policies:
-
Price Adjustments: Amazon doesn't offer price matching or price adjustments. Some of Amazon's competitors do price match Amazon, though.
-
Return Policy: Amazon offers extended returns until Jan. 31 on purchases made between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. That means, if you find a better price later on something you bought during Black Friday, you could return the original item and re-buy it. Just keep in mind your refund won't be immediate and could take several business days.
5. Cyber Monday: Amazon is running one long sale this year, all the way through Cyber Monday with no pause. But, thanks to the daily deal drops, you can expect a fresh round of 24-hour deals on Cyber Monday itself (Dec. 1).
And, in past years, Amazon has beaten their Black Friday pricing on Cyber Monday. In 2024, they lowered the price of the Barbie DreamHouse by $13, going from $139 on Black Friday to $125 on Cyber Monday. They also took an additional $3 off a 4-pack of AirTags, going from $72.99 on Black Friday to $69.99 on Cyber Monday. However, our advice is this: Start shopping when the Black Friday sale kicks off and treat Cyber weekend more as a last chance than as an event to wait for.
