Every year, Crayola gives away 1 million crayons in celebration of National Crayon Day. For five years now, Crayola has offered free 32-count boxes of crayons (with a voucher) at locations in the U.S. However, you need to register beforehand to get the voucher that's valid March 31 - May 31.
We recommend registering ASAP because this freebie deal is first come, first served (and quantities are limited by location and day).

National Crayon Day is an annual celebration of the iconic coloring tool. As part of the festivities, Crayola hosts an annual giveaway, offering households the opportunity to register for up to two free custom crayon boxes to be collected in person at one of three Crayola Experience locations. Staples also offers a free 24-count with a National Crayon Day purchase each year.

Once again, Crayola is starting their giveaway at three locations on National Crayon Day, which is March 31, 2026. You can choose a date between March 31 and May 31.
Staples is also giving free 24-count boxes with any purchase.
Redeem an in-store freebie at three Crayola locations.
This freebie is in-store only, but you have to register online for a voucher at one of these three U.S. Crayola locations.
Bring the voucher you received via email or postal mail with you on your selected pickup day and head to the gift shop attached to the Crayola Experience. There you'll be able to handpick 32 crayons from Crayola's "Pick Your Pack" wall.
If you don't show up on your designated pickup day, you'll lose out — Crayola won't allow you to reschedule.
Get a free 24-count Crayola box (with a $1.50 purchase) at Staples.
Not near a Crayola Experience location? On March 31, Staples is giving away free 24-count boxes of Crayola crayons (SKU 299198 only) for National Crayon Day 2026.
This is a rewards member-exclusive deal. If you're not already a current member, you can join for free before March 31 to be eligible for the free offer.
On March 31 only, Staples Rewards members can get a free 24-pack of Crayola crayons with any $1.50 purchase.
