Outback Steakhouse No Rules Day is back after a year's hiatus. On Jan. 28, 2025, guests can enjoy an appetizer for F-R-E-E to celebrate Outback's No Rules Day. No Rules Day is a completely new made-up food holiday by the Aussie-themed restaurant chain that’s a nod to the restaurant chain’s well-known slogan — “No Rules, Just Right.” On Outback No Rules Day, they’re breaking all the rules by giving customers a free appetizer of their choice.

Outback No Rules Day is an annual late-January event when Outback customers get a free appetizer with entree purchase.
Typically in late-January every year (after a brief break in 2024), Outback customers can tell their servers that it's "No Rules Day" and receive a freebie. This year, it's a free appetizer with the purchase of an adult entree. This will only work in person, and there’s no deal online.
The next Outback Steakhouse No Rules Day is on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.
Outback Steakhouse confirmed on their social media pages and via email that today, Jan. 28, is Outback No Rules Day for 2025. They used to run it on Jan. 31 every year and then took a break in 2024, but it's back this year and earlier than ever.
If they follow suit next year, we'll likely see it on Jan. 27 or Jan. 31. Time will tell!
A Bloomin' Onion is just the beginning of what you can get for free on No Rules Day.
When you visit your local Outback Steakhouse on Jan. 31, tell your server that it’s “No Rules Day,” and you’ll get a free appetizer or dessert with purchase of an adult entree (which start at about $12). This will only work in person, and there’s no deal online.

To get the most value out of your Outback No Rules Day freebie, you should order either the Bloomin’ Fried Shrimp, the Nashville Hot Wings, or the Kookaburra Wings. Each of these appetizers regularly costs $15.49, and they’ll get you the most value on No Rules Day.
Not everyone at your table will get their own free appetizer, though; there’s a one-discount-per-table rule.

Once you hit 350 points, you’ll get a $5 coupon to spend at any Bloomin’ Brand restaurant. You’ll have 90 days to redeem your coupon once you’ve earned it.
They’ll also periodically send you coupons to your email, such as a free Bloomin’ Onion or discounts on your next meal. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use these coupons when you get the Outback No Rules Day discount.
