There's nothing terribly complex here — Shopkick is a free mobile app, available for both Android and iOS, that rewards consumers for eligible shopping activities with rewards points called "kicks." This leads us to the question ...

How do you earn rewards with Shopkick?

Walk into a store.

Okay, not any store, but stores listed within your Shopkick app that offer "walk in" kicks. We often see them at 7-Eleven, Walmart, Target, and CVS.

1. Make sure your Bluetooth is enabled.

2. Open the app when you walk into a store.

3. You'll automatically earn kicks for walking in.

Typically you'll be rewarded 10 kicks just for passing through those doors.

Scan products.

Seriously, you can just scan eligible products in a participating store for kicks. Here's how you do it:

1. Click on the store you're in and check their "scan list."

2. Find an item on their scan list within the store.

3. Tap the item on the scan list to activate your phone's camera.

4. You'll see a white box with a blue line on your phone — line up the product barcode with it.

Kicks should immediately appear when you're done with the scan.

Upload receipts.

When you click on a store you frequent, you’ll see “receipt kicks” available on certain products. If you purchase those products and then upload your receipt from that store, you’ll receive that number of kicks in your account. You can also easily click the blue camera icon in the app to submit your receipt even faster!

Watch videos.

Quick commercials will net you 1 kick per view on Shopkick. That may seem like such a small number, but they add up fast and require little to no work on your part.

Invite a friend.

Dollar General Shopkick Deals Happening Now

These are national Dollar General Shopkick deals you can find in the Shopkick app now. Here's how they play out in real life at the store.

Walk into your local Dollar General and open your Shopkick app. Then head to where your store keeps the fruit snacks:

1. Find 22-count Black Forest Fruit Flavored Snacks, Mixed Fruit or Funables Fruity Snacks, Mixed Berry.

2. Within the Shopkick app, scan the barcode of either product: you'll earn 20 scan kicks.
