My daughter's a typical kid. Her wish list is always loaded with the latest and greatest (and most expensive) toys. Since I don't have a magical money tree, I had to figure out a way to make a few extra bucks to pay for that high-end wish list!

Luckily, I found an easy way to put some extra jingle in my pocket by taking online surveys!

These sites offer various incentives to share opinions on an array of topics and products.

Here’s how to fund all those extra purchases:

MyView

MyView is one of my favorites! Earn points for reviews on things like movies (sometimes featuring scenes from new, unreleased movies), magazine articles and new products. Surveys vary from 5 to 20 minutes. MyView also gives points even if you don't qualify for the survey. Participants can cash out points for gift cards (Amazon, Old Navy, Game Stop, Target and Visa, for example) or magazine subscriptions. It takes about 33,000 points to qualify for a $25 gift card (at least a month if taking surveys daily).

SurveySavvy

At SurveySavvy, each survey has a different value (longer surveys pay up to $20 each). After earning at least $1, participants may request to be paid, and a check is mailed. Anyone can join and take surveys daily. A referral program offers $2 when someone you've referred completes a survey. If you complete your profile on their site, Survey Savvy will know what surveys you are interested in and will only send relevant invitations.

MySurvey

I like to jump on MySurvey during my daughter's nap time. Survey topics vary widely, covering everything from pain reliever medications to brake pads. Accumulate points that are converted into PayPal cash. Trade in points for gift cards to places like Red Robin, Cinemark or Macy's, which make awesome gifts for any upcoming occasion. I once scored a Bath and Body Works gift card as a Christmas gift for my mom (Shhh…Don't tell!) It takes about a month to accumulate 1,100 points ($10 in your Paypal account or a $10 gift card). There are screening questions for each survey, but they typically only send surveys they think you qualify for based on your profile information. Sign up when they are accepting new registrations, or ask a friend who uses it to refer you at any time.

Pinecone Research

This site is a bit more exclusive than others (you must be referred or invited to join). The best thing about Pinecone Research is that you qualify for each survey that they send. The surveys, which are typically about everyday products like lotions, hair color and shampoos, are emailed directly to me each month. Pinecone Research pays about $3 per survey via Paypal or check.

Opinion Outpost

With Opinion Outpost, get about seven survey invitations each week (or more depending on your personal demographic). Each survey has a brief screening process to match participants with future surveys. Each survey has a point value, and each point equals $0.10. The surveys I've done range anywhere from 20 to 50 points, but I once did one for 170 points ($17!) Accumulate at least 50 points to cash out via check or Amazon gift card. Spend about an hour a day doing surveys, and earn up to $200 a month!

Daily Survey Panel

The name Daily Survey Panel says it all: Surveys are available daily. They use a point system, and 200 points (the minimum required for cashing out your points) equals $1, which is sent to Paypal. They also offer gift cards to places like Amazon.com.

HCD Surveys

At HCD Surveys, each survey is worth between $1 (100 points) and $5 (500 points). Reach at least 1,000 points (equal to $10) to cash out via check (which took me about a month). Survey notices are sent by email so you always know when one is available. Through a referral program, earn $0.50 (50 points) for every referral who becomes a verified member.

SurveySpot

Similar to the other sites, SurveySpot sends invitations when a survey is available. Some surveys are only worth entries into their quarterly sweepstakes, so be sure to read the details in the email (it will explain whether the survey is worth actual money). Surveys range from one minute to 30 minutes and are worth anywhere from $5 to $15 each. Cash out via Paypal once reaching the $5 minimum.

SurveyHead

There are surveys available daily on SurveyHead. Get $5 when starting, and cash out via Paypal (or choose other options) after reaching $25 (it took me about a month). I've cashed out every month since I joined, and each survey takes about 15 minutes.

MyOpinionNow

The more you participate, the more survey invitations you receive on MyOpinionNow. Reach at least 2,000 points to earn cash (2,000 points equals $20) or choose a prize (like iTunes downloads, magazine subscriptions and electronics.) It takes time to reach the minimum (more than a month for me).
