Student life is expensive and complicated enough, which is why we love it when retailers have a straightforward student discount program. I recently discovered the Adidas student discount, which gives you 20% off with not a lot of hassle.
And once you’re set up with their verification provider Unidays, you get to take advantage of a whole list of other student discounts. This means you only have to verify your student enrollment once!
Now let’s study how to use your Adidas student discount to save you the most money.

1. Sign up for the 20% Adidas student discount using Unidays.

The Adidas student discount will get you 20% off full-price items on Adidas.com. To unlock the discount, you’ll verify your status on the Unidays website (which will unlock a whole bunch of other student discounts like 20% off at Under Armour).
You’ll need to provide a valid .edu email address, a photo of your current student ID, or other documents that prove your full-time student status.
Once they verify your enrollment, you’ll get 20% off select Adidas items as well as discounts for any other retailer that’s listed on the Unidays site.

2. The Adidas student discount only works on full-price, nonexclusive items.

Plan to purchase regular full-price items only with your 20% student discount at Adidas. That’s because they won’t let you apply the discount to sale items or anything that’s considered exclusive to Adidas — like collaborations from Yeezy, Ivy Park x Adidas, or Disney.
TIP: Look for an indication that a product is exclusive on the right side of the product page, just before the sizing info.
3. Stack your Adidas student discount with dollar-off promotions to save more.
For example, at the time of writing this, Adidas offered a $20 bonus if you purchased a $100 gift card.
So you could have bought a $100 gift card, got the $20 bonus, then used your 20% off student discount PLUS the $20 bonus on the same purchase. Score.
4. But you can’t stack percentage-off promotions with your student discount.
While stacking dollar-off promotions will work with your Adidas student discount, combining other percentage-off promos are a no-no.
For example, AdiClub members get 15% off. But you can’t stack your 15% AdiClub discount with your 20% student discount.
5. Join AdiClub anyway for the free shipping.

Even though you can’t stack your 15% off AdiClub discount with your 20% off student discount, a free AdiClub membership will unlock serious savings at Adidas, like free shipping and free returns. (Without the membership, you’ll pay $4.99 for orders under $151, and they won’t refund the fee if you make a return.)
You’ll also get early access to sales and other training perks when you use the Adidas app (iOS / Android) as an AdiClub member.
6. Save 12% on Adidas gift cards from CardBear.
While you can’t use your Adidas student discount to purchase Adidas gift cards through their site, you can save almost as much by purchasing them from CardBear.
On average, you’ll save 12% on Adidas gift cards when you buy them from CardBear — and up to 33% on other brands. But check back after the holidays when their inventory goes up and prices go down.

7. Chat with the Adidas team for potential extra savings (up to 30%!).

Recently I chatted with the nice folks at Adidas using their online chat feature. At the end of our conversation, they emailed me a 30% off voucher!
I can’t promise it’ll happen for everyone, but since the discount I got was more than the 20% Adidas student discount, it may be worth your time to try.
Look for the chat bubble icon on the bottom right side of the Adidas website to start a chat.
