How you doin’? If you ask us, better than ever thanks to Brach’s Friends conversation hearts. Yes, the classic Valentine’s Day treats get a hilarious and nostalgic update for 2023. It’s all courtesy of a partnership between Warner Bros. and Discovery Global Consumer Products. The candies are the latest part of the deal, which also includes International Delight Friends Creamer.

“Brach’s Conversation Hearts and Friends are both cultural symbols that have been beloved for generations, so this collaboration felt like a natural fit,” Chad Womack, Director of Brach’s Seasonal Marketing at Ferrara Candy Company, said in a statement.

If you want to pivot your usual Valentine’s Day sweets this year, here’s everything to know about the candies. And make sure you download the Krazy Coupon Lady app for Valentine’s Day deals to spoil the ones you love.

The One with the Friends Conversation Hearts

Brach’s Friends Conversation Hearts will have you feeling all of the feels and probably reaching for your remote to watch reruns of the sitcom (which are literally always on). But let’s get into how they differ from the candy hearts you already know and love.

There are 26 different Friends-themed phrases.

Your favorite Friends quotes and themes get colorful and crunchy in this new variety. Among the 26 infamous sayings included in the assortment:

  • “How u doin’?”
  • “Latte”
  • “Lbstr”
  • “Moo point”
  • “Oh my gawd”
  • “On a break”
  • “Pivot”

They come in special flavors.

While we’re totally here for the memorable phrases, there’s something else different about this selection. The Friends version features new flavors instead of the classic Brach’s Conversation Hearts. Now we know this might make the themed-bag divisive among candy purists, but don’t knock ’em ’til you’ve tried ’em. The fruity flavors are:

  • Blueberry (new)
  • Cherry (original flavor)
  • Orange (original flavor)
  • Pineapple (new)
  • Strawberry (new)
  • Watermelon (new)

You can grab a bag in most stores right now.

Friends Conversation Hearts come in a 6-ounce bag and are available at convenience stores, grocery stores, and mass-market retailers now for a limited time. Shoppers have spotted them at ACME, Michaels, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, and other stores. You can also find them on Amazon.

But a word about ordering off of Amazon and Walmart. While we scooped up our bag at Michaels for $4.49, we discovered third-party sellers offering these treats for outrageous prices ($10 on Amazon and $10.99 on Walmart.com). We strongly advise not purchasing at those high prices, particularly from third-party sellers. And if you have a Vons (Safeway) or Albertsons near you, the Friends Conversation Hearts are going for just $2 per 6-ounce bag at those retailers in my neck of the woods (Southern California).

Traditional Brach’s Conversation Hearts are still available.

If Friends isn’t your thing, the tried-and-true Brach’s candy hearts are also on store shelves right now, readily available for Valentine’s Day snacking. And for those aforementioned candy purists, they contain the traditional flavors familiar to you.

  • Wintergreen
  • Banana
  • Orange
  • Lemon-lime
  • Cherry
  • Grape

For the record, a standard-size bag of regular Conversation hearts is 14 ounces, more than double the size of the Friends-themed bag. And they’re typically cheaper, like this bag from Target for $3.29. But hey, those fun slogans and new flavors come at a premium.
