Here's Exactly How to Shop Like a Pro at Loft

I love shopping at Loft, but I’ll admit it can get a little pricey. Especially if you are shopping online without a Loft free shipping code (personally, I think free shipping should be standard everywhere). So, whether you’re a seasoned shopper or new to the brand, I’ve got some great tips for how to save when you shop at Loft. Online and in the stores, there are plenty of ways to save.

One thing you should definitely do before making a purchase is to check Loft’s sizing guides. Each store has its own sizing standards, and Loft is no different. By understanding their measurements, you can ensure you’re picking the right size for a perfect fit. And since the store offers a wide range of options, having a clear idea of what you like will make your shopping trip more focused.

1. Shop during the Loft Cash Card event to get $25 for every $75 spent.

This event only happens a few times a year, but when it does, jump on it. After the earning period, there are a couple weeks when you can spend that store cash on any purchases over $75.

The most recent Loft Cash Card event happened from May 30 to June 11. If you spent a certain amount on qualifying item, here’s how it played out:

  • Earn $25 off $75
  • Earn $50 off $150
  • Earn $75 off $225

2. Bookmark Loft’s coupon page for current discounts and a Loft free shipping code.

Loft’s Coupons, Promo Codes and Special Offers page is a one-stop shop for all of their current promotions. You can add coupon codes to your cart when you shop online.

3. Wait for at least 40% off items before purchasing — never pay full price.

Avoid buying anything new if they are asking full retail price. There’s a pretty good chance that within two or three weeks Loft will put it on sale — and they frequently have 40% off sales.

4. Sign up for the credit card if you are a diehard Loft enthusiast.

Loft offers a bunch of perks if you have one of their Loft credit cards, including:

  • 15% off every first Tuesday of the month
  • $20 off your first purchase
  • Reward during your birthday month
  • 5 rewards points for every $1 spent
  • Free standard shipping with a $75+ purchase

The Loft MasterCard is basically the same except you also get 2 points per $1 spent on gas or grocery purchases and 1 point per $1 everywhere MasterCard is accepted.

TIP: Cashiers may have coupons stashed away for credit cardholders at the register, so don’t be afraid to ask. But be nice — they don’t have to tell you about the discount.

5. Get 15% off full-priced items with a teacher ID.

In order to get a teacher discount, you must present a valid school ID. So, unfortunately, it’s not going to do you any good if you’re shopping online. And clearance items aren’t allowed in the discount, but it’s better than no discount at all.

6. Shop in store and avoid paying for shipping.

Unless you’re planning on spending over $99 (which is what it takes to get free shipping) you’ll pay at least $8.95 in fees. Or, scan the interwebs for a Loft free shipping code. However, if you find an item at the store, but they don’t have your size or the right color, you can have them ship it to you at no cost.

TIP: You can ship your returns with a prepaid shipping label on the Loft website.

7. Shop at Loft for petite or tall sizes.

Loft has a wide range of clothing in sizes for those who have a hard time finding clothes that fit. Both their petite clothes and tall clothes start at size 0. This buying tip allows you to bypass the expense and time of taking it to a tailor.

8. Receive a 10% discount when you sign up for their text alerts.

Loft offers a 10% coupon by signing up for text alerts. It can only be used one time and within 30 days from sign up. It can be used in stores and online, but not at Ann Taylor stores or the Loft Outlet.

9. Shop on ThredUp to get up to 80% off original Loft prices.

If you want to skip shopping in stores and refuse to pay for shipping, a great place to find clothes from Loft is on ThredUp. It’s technically a second-hand store, but you can filter listings by items that still have original price tags attached.

For instance, I found a Loft black casual dress for $17.99 (reg. $74), but it dropped to just $11.69 with a 35% off coupon code.

10. Don’t expect to use Ann Taylor coupons at Loft.

Although they’re sister stores, they both have their own coupons which are only usable at the store indicated for that specific deal. However, with the Ann Taylor Style Rewards Loyalty Program, you can earn points at both stores and they’ll be combined into one account.
