Each tag costs $3 in 2026, which is cheaper than buying just two Jr. Frostys. Yep. Use it twice, and it’s paid for itself. There’s no limit to how many physical Key Tags you can purchase, so these make a great gift to treat coworkers, neighbors, or friends while giving back to the community.

The Wendy's Frosty Key Tags are available through April 5 and cost $3.
Frosty Key Tags arrived late this year! As of Feb. 2, they're available in-store and in the app, and you have until April 5 to purchase yours. They cost $3 per tag, and get you a free 6-ounce Jr. Frosty with any purchase for the rest of the year.
A change this year: They're only valid through Dec. 31, 2026. Instead of being valid for a full 365 days after purchase, they're only good through the end of the year.

Purchase a Frosty Key Tag from your cashier or through the Wendy's app.
Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags are available in stores and in the Wendy's app. You can purchase a physical Key Tag in person or a digital Key Tag through your Wendy’s Rewards account.
You're limited to one digital Key Tag, but you can get unlimited physical Key Tags.
You can purchase as many physical Key Tags as you’d like, but digital Key Tags are limited to one per Wendy’s Rewards account. (You can also buy the Key Tags in bulk via the Dave Thomas Foundation website.)
Tips for Using Your Frosty Key Tag
You can't use a physical Key Tag for Wendys.com orders or a digital Key Tag for in-person orders.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your physical Key Tag for your Wendys.com orders or your digital Key Tag for your in-person purchases. But you could buy one of each to cover your bases.
Use your physical Wendy's Frosty Key Tag as soon as you purchase it — but you may have to wait to use your digital Key Tag.
If you want to get your free Frosty immediately, be sure to get a physical card. You can use it as soon as you get your paws on it. But if you buy the digital version, you may need to wait up to an hour for it to load to your Wendy's account.
You can use a digital Frosty Key Tag once an hour and a physical one once per visit.
The physical Key Tags can be used once per visit. The digital Key Tag gives you a coupon in the Wendy’s app, and once you use it, you’ll get another coupon about an hour later.
