Thanks to Sprint for sponsoring this article so we could bring you this awesome opportunity to get free travel!
OMG you guys, today I’m going to tell you how to get two free flights to just about anywhere in the US.
Yes. You heard that right.
Free flights. Free.
There’s no catch, just a few simple steps and some smart deal-stacking courtesy of Sprint.
I know it sounds hard to believe, but stay with me and follow these 4 steps:
Step 1: Choose your destination.
Here are some examples of flights. You’ll need to see what works in your own city. Note that if you do a cheaper flight, you can use your extra miles toward your hotel stay or rental car!
This is just an example of some of the places you can go (and have points left over for your hotel!):
- Boise to San Francisco
- New York City to Miami
- Houston to New York City
- Los Angeles to Boston
- Chicago to Seattle
I’m going to Seattle. How about you?
Step 2: Open a new Sprint account and get 20,000 miles just for signing up.
You can’t miss this part or else you might be frustrated.
You absolutely must be an AAdvantage® member before you can claim this Sprint deal! AAdvantage® is American Airlines’ loyalty program. It’s easy and free to sign up, so head over here and get an AAdvantage® account number before you read on.
Got your AAdvantage® account number handy?
Now you can sign up for a new Sprint account, and once you’ve had your Sprint account for 30 days, you’ll earn your 20,000 miles!
Sprint has some great Unlimited rates going on right now. Also, if you sign up three or more lines, you can get an additional $400 Visa® Prepaid card.
Sign up at sprint.com/AAdvantage (This is where you will have to register your AAdvantage® number.)
Note that when you keep your Sprint account open for 12 months, you’ll get another 5,000 miles. Sprint rewards you with 417 miles a month! That’s actually 5,004 miles a year, but who’s counting?
Total miles earned: 20,000
Congrats! This is already enough for one ticket pretty much anywhere! But who wants to go alone? So do this next…
Step 3: Sign up for a Citi®/AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World EliteTM Mastercard® and get 60,000 miles after you make qualifying purchases.
Just spend $3,000 in the first three months of opening your Citi®/AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World EliteTM Mastercard® and poof! 60,000 miles in your American Airlines AAdvantage® account.
Plus, you’ll get one mile per dollar you spend on eligible purchases, and you’ll get two miles per dollar you spend on eligible American Airlines purchases. And you get one free checked bag!
The card does have a $95 annual fee.
Total miles earned: 60,000
Step 4: Buy your plane tickets with your airline miles!
My flight to Seattle cost 50,000 miles. I spent 50,000 of the miles I earned, and I’m spending the last 30,000 miles toward our hotel stay.
Congrats, you did it!
* You will still be responsible for a government fee of $5.60 per flight per person, but dude, that’s nothing.
