Metal body and flush mount are the best things about this camera. It feels solid and looks very organic on my car. Video quality night or day is good for the purpose. The problem is that the camera down angle is too steep, so originally I could see only few feet behind my car when backing up. I put a rubber shin under it in order to correct the angle, but then I had very little thread left for the nut to catch on. Given that the nut has a split in it we for ease of installation I could not tighten it at all. The screen shot shows the view with adjusted angle which is still not great.
The camera feels like you could hit it with a hammer. It’s very heavy for the size (it’s not very big). They give you plenty of wire. I had more than enough to thread it up through the rear door of my Sienna, along the trim, all the way under the dash, and around the other side.
