Lets be honest, we often want things that are well beyond our budget, but should we just pass them up?  Absolutely not!!!

Pier One Serena Table Lamp $125.00
At $125, this lamp is out of my budget.  I decided to look for some more budget friendly options.

Home Depot STA Clear Crystal With Metal Finish Table Lamp $69.97 (free shipping)
And just look what I found for $69.67!  A perfect match for 30% less.  Only problem is, I’m still too cheap to pay $69 for a lamp, so I kept looking.

Target Home Mix & Match Lamp Base Medium $31.49
Target Home Mix & Match Lamp Shade Medium, White $15.79
Finally, here is the most frugal option: take a look at Target's Mix and Match set for 47.28!  A savings of 60%!!!!!!!!!!

That means two Target lamps (bases and shades) would cost less than the price of one at Pier 1.

With the kids back in school, I finally have time to get some of the organizing done that has been pushed to the wayside all summer. Since space is limited, (and budget too!) I wanted to find a sleek, multi-purpose storage solution for the throw blankets in the living room.

Scan Design Flip 1 Storage Ottoman $285.00
Top grain leather, 17″H x 18″ diameter.  Available in Brown, Rust, Black, Beige or White.

Overstock Broadway Single Tray Off-White Leather Storage Ottoman $125.99
Bicast leather, 17″ H x 18″ diameter.  Available in off-white.

Neither ottoman is a head-over-heels screaming deal, but the Overstock version is strikingly similar and over 55% less expensive!
