I love cooking with fish. What I don't love is the smell that lingers in the house long after my family has finished the meal. Fortunately, it's really easy to get rid of that fishy smell by using just one pantry staple–peanut butter! Besides fish, peanut butter also helps eliminate smelly odors from foods like cabbage, liver, bacon, garlic and Brussels sprouts! Here’s how to do it:

Directions:

1. Remove your cooked fish (or other smelly food) from the pan and add two or three tablespoons of peanut butter.

2. On high heat, cook the peanut butter for one or two minutes. The peanut butter will absorb the offending smells almost immediately. Plus, it will spread the more tolerable fragrance of peanut butter throughout your entire house. I’d rather have my house smell like peanut butter than fish any day!
