Personally, I think that every day can be considered kid’s day in my house, but Belk likes to honor the younger set in their own way. Belk KidFest is returned on Sat., Aug. 5, 2023 just in time for Back-to-School shopping. Basically if your kid is typically less than enthused about the idea of clothes shopping, free KidFest crafts, activities, and treats at all Belk locations (except for Belk outlets) help make it less painful. No word yet on whether the event will be back for 2024, but it does appear to be an annual tradition for Belk at this point.
Details surrounding the event are a bit vague since each store hosts its own variety of activities and treats for Belk KidFest. Fortunately, though, the hours were the same across the board in 2023: Belk KidFest ran from 12 – 3 p.m. on Aug. 5.

The retailer has brought back Belk KidFest for the past several years. In 2023, it was held on Saturday, Aug 5. from 12 – 3 p.m.. The event was held across all Belk locations, excluding Belk outlet stores. But just because you can’t participate in the fun at their outlet locations, doesn’t mean you won’t still score deals on Back-to-School shopping. They marked down prices on uniform necessities polos, khakis, skorts, and shorts. Plus, you could find sales on backpacks (I spotted a five-piece Bluey backpack set that my preschooler loved, marked down to $19.99 from $50).

In addition to shopping, kids enjoyed free crafts, activities, and treats during KidFest.
While all Belk stores (excluding outlets) are hosting KidFest, the activities and treats vary by location. However, you can always expect a lively experience. And Belk actually involved local kid-focused community groups at each location, making individual events unique to the community that store is located in. Plus shoppers had the opportunity to give back during KidFest, as Aug. 5 marked the last day of their point-of-sale campaign benefitting Boys & Girls Club. Belk matched all donations (both in-store and online).
