You know how Amazon created Prime Day out of thin air and it became one of the biggest shopping days of the year? In China, mega-retailer Alibaba did the same thing with Singles Day, which ralls on Nov. 11 every year.
What is Singles Day? It’s a celebration of people that aren’t in relationships. Again, it’s always celebrated on Nov. 11, with double dose of ones representing the relationally unattached.
Since Alibaba introduced their Singles Day sales in 1993, other retailers have jumped on the trend. Allegedly Singles Day is the biggest shopping day in the world; like double the sales of Prime Day. Hard to believe since we’re so laser-focused on Black Friday here in the U.S.. But when you remember that Black Friday is only considered a huge shopping day within the confines of the U.S., it makes sense.
The U.S. hasn’t exactly latched onto Singles Day yet — mostly because we’re too busy with those aforementioned Black Friday sales — but there are still some deals you’ll want in on.
And plus, there are Veterans Day deals that overlap (because Nov. 11 is also Veteran’s Day).

Alibaba doesn’t have any physical stores in the U.S., but you can still shop Singles Day sales at AliExpress.com.
AliExpress is hyping Singles Day sales ran from Nov. 11 – 17. in 2023. When Singles Day rolls around again in 2024, look for deals like these:
