How much is the AT&T discount?
AT&T offers teachers a discount that equals around 25% off the participating plans. This discount doesn’t apply to phone upgrades, device purchases, accessories, or other add-on services. Note that it only applies to a discount on unlimited phone plans up to four lines.

Verify your educator status to get the savings.
Fortunately, verifying your educator status to qualify for the AT&T teacher discount is relatively straightforward. Sign up for your plan with the teacher discount in place. Next, you’ll need to submit proof of eligibility within 14 days of activating it using the AT&T teacher verification portal.
Enter your name and contact information. Include the email address issued by an educational institution, like a school or university, to begin the verification process. To complete enrollment, upload supporting documents that are in your name. These will accurately show your active employment.
Eligible documents include employee IDs from a school or university, paystubs dated within the last 30 days, employment letters (written within the last 30 days), or State License/Certification from an educational institution. Your supporting documents should have the same first and last name as the name on your phone plan.
Only certain phone plans qualify for the discount.
AT&T states that only unlimited plans qualify for their teacher discount, so you’re a bit limited in which lines can be considered. Currently, there are three unlimited plans that qualify for the AT&T teacher discount that you can sign up for:
AT&T Unlimited Starter Plan
The Unlimited Starter Plan normally costs $35 a month but is offered to educators for only $26.25 per line. It comes with unlimited talk, text, and data, plus 3 GB Hotspot data per line per month. The plan also includes unlimited texting from U.S. to 120+ countries, as well as unlimited talk, text, and data in Mexico and Canada.
With the AT&T teacher discount, you’ll save around $105 per year.
AT&T Unlimited Extra Plan
The Unlimited Extra Plan from AT&T is normally priced at $40 per month but is discounted to $30 per line, per month. It includes unlimited talk, text, and data, plus 50 GB of premium data (premium data protects your access speeds even if the network is in high use and data speeds are throttled otherwise).
The plan has unlimited texting from the U.S. to 120+ countries, as well as unlimited talk, text, and data in Mexico and Canada. There’s also 15 GB of hotspot data.
With the AT&T teacher discount, you’ll save $120 per line, per year with this plan.
AT&T Unlimited Elite Plan
The Unlimited Elite Plan includes unlimited talk, text, and high-speed data that won’t slow down regardless of how much you use, or how much other users in the network are consuming. It normally costs $50 a month but is discounted to $37.50 per line, per month with the AT&T teacher discounts.
This plan also includes unlimited texting from U.S. to 200+ countries, as well as unlimited talk, text and data in Mexico and Canada. Like the Unlimited Extra Plan, you’ll also get 15 GB of hotspot data.
With the AT&T teacher discount, you save $150 per line, per year with this particular plan.
Does AT&T offer a teacher discount to homeschoolers?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that AT&T offers any sort of phone plan discounts to homeschool educators at this time.
With that being said, see if you have the necessary supporting documentation from an educational co-op or institution. If any of this states that you’re certified to teach or employed through an educational organization, it may help you qualify.
