If you’ve purchased a Celsius beverage within the last seven years, you may be eligible for monetary compensation as part of a new class action settlement. But you’ve gotta act quickly.
Celsius reached a $7.4 million class action settlement as part of the Hezi v. Celsius Holdings, Inc lawsuit, which alleged that Celsius falsely advertised that their beverages and powdered drinks were produced with no preservatives. But there’s citric acid in these drinks, and citric acid is technically a preservative (although this common additive doesn’t cause any damage or harm).
Although Celsius denies the allegations of false advertising — noting that their use of citric acid in products was to add flavor, not to act as a preservative — they settled to avoid the time and financial expenses of a trial.
That said, if you’re a Celsius drinker, you may be entitled to a small payout as part of the settlement. Here’s what to know about whether you’re eligible for part of the settlement, how much cash you can claim from the class action, and how to get it.
If you bought any Celsius beverages between Jan. 1, 2015 and Nov. 23, 2022, you are eligible for part of the settlement.
If you bought any Celsius drinks or powders in the time frame of Jan. 1, 2015 through Nov. 23, 2022 (called the Class Period), you’re eligible for part of the class action. The products included are:
- Celsius
- Celsius BCAA+ Energy
- Celsius Heat
- Celsius Live Fit
- Celsius On-the-Go Powdered Drinks
- Celsius With Stevia
- Flo Fusion Powdered Drinks
Depending on whether you’ve kept receipts, you may be eligible for anywhere from $1 to $250 in the Celsius class action settlement.
How much money you’re eligible to make depends on which Celsius products you bought and whether you have proof of purchase with your claims.
- If you purchased a canned Celsius beverage during the Class Period, you can submit a claim to be reimbursed for $1 per can.
- If you purchased a 14-pack package of Flo Fusion powdered drink mix during the Class Period, you can submit a claim to be reimbursed for $5 per package.
- If you provide receipts with your claim, you may be reimbursed up to a cap of $250 for Celsius and Flo Fusion products purchased during the Class Period.
- If you don’t have receipts with your claim, you may be reimbursed up to $20 for Celsius and Flo Fusion products purchased during the Class Period.
You’ll have to submit your claim by Feb. 13, 2023, to get reimbursed as part of the Celsius class action.
You have to submit your claim form electronically by Feb. 13, 2023, or if filing by mail, have it postmarked by Feb. 13, 2023. You can file your claim electronically here.

Payments will be sent sometime after March 31, 2023.
There’s a hearing on March 31, 2023, for a judge to approve the Celsius settlement, but there may still be appeals following the judge’s decision. As a result, any and all payments from the Celsius class action settlement will be sent sometime following that date, though a specific date has not yet been set.
