Did you order Chipotle delivery between May 11, 2020, and January 19, 2022? Then you may have some money coming your way.
Chipotle settled a class-action lawsuit for $4 million due to alleged marketing about delivery fees during the height of the pandemic.
Want to know if you qualify for some extra money? Here’s what you need to know:
Chipotle got sued for saying Chipotle delivery was free or $1.00.

The class-action lawsuit, filed in 2021, claimed that while Chipotle promised free or $1 delivery, customers’ didn’t get that. The suit claims customers were charged hidden fees or bought food at inflated prices compared to in-store purchases.
Customers who opted for Chipotle delivery found themselves paying a 10% service charge and 12-15% more for food. So, if you were buying $40 worth of more-expensive food, you would find yourself paying $4 in service fees that you wouldn’t be paying if you picked your food up. That’s not free or $1, customers said.
If you ordered Chipotle delivery in the last two years, some of the $4 million settlement is yours.

If you placed an order through the Chipotle app or website starting May 11, 2020, through Jan. 19, 2022, you might have entitlement to a piece of the $4 million.
This class-action lawsuit splits those who qualify into two groups: Members of the Chipotle Rewards program and those who are not.
Non-members will split a $1 million cash fund into equal parts depending on how many claims are submitted.
Chipotle Rewards members will split the remaining $3 million, distributed in vouchers rather than a cash payment. The voucher will equal the amount of one regular-priced entree valued at about $8.50. If you couple the voucher with our Chipotle money-saving hacks, you can save big bucks.
Ordered Chipotle through DoorDash or Uber Eats? You’re out of luck.

If you ordered Chipotle for delivery any other way than directly from the Chipotle website or app, you’re not a part of this settlement.
File a claim by June 28, 2022, to get your payout.

Those who ordered Chipotle delivery on the qualified dates can file a claim to the official settlement website. To begin the claim, ensure you have your Unique ID found on the settlement notice you received in the mail.
If you lost or never got a settlement notice, contact the settlement administrator to get one by calling (855) 675-3034.
