Pepsi knows that eating hot dogs is one of the most popular Fourth of July activities, and they’re giving away millions of drinks to help you wash ’em down as part of their #BetterWithPepsi promotion.

And they’re also introducing a new Pepsi-based condiment. You heard right.

So before you chow down on one of the estimated 150 million hot dogs that’ll be eaten on July 4 alone, you’ll want to know about the deals Pepsi is rolling out.

Get a free Pepsi when you text a qualifying receipt July 1 – 4.

From July 1 through the Fourth, whenever you grab a hot dog at any restaurant or retail spot and you decide to add a Pepsi to your order, that Pepsi can be free.

Text “FREEPEPSI” to 81234 and upload your receipt showing the hot dog and Pepsi. Then, you’ll be reimbursed the cost of a 20-oz Pepsi product back (up to $2.59). They’ll send it straight to your PayPal, Venmo, or even as a digital gift card. You have to submit your July 1-4 receipt by July 7.

The receipt must show both a hot dog purchase and a Pepsi purchase to qualify. So, as awesome as it is that the Costco Food Court and Sam’s Club food court have a hot dog and Pepsi combo for $1.50 and $1.38, respectively, it doesn’t qualify.

They’ll also unveil a new Pepsi ketchup at July 4 baseball games.

During the Major League Baseball games on July 4th, fans will get a unique opportunity to be among the first to try Pepsi’s first-ever condiment, Pepsi Colachup — a ketchup made with a Pepsi “reduction”.

Teaming up with the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks, and New York Yankees, Pepsi will set up “sampling carts” around the stadiums:

  • Chase Field, Phoenix, AZ; Section 130/131
  • Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY; Pepsi Lounge (Pepsi Lounge Ticket Required)
  • Target Field, Minneapolis, MN; Section 113
  • Comerica Park, Detroit, MI; Section 139

No word if Pepsi Colachup is just a one-time thing or if we’ll see it in stores eventually.
