OK, coffee lovers: It’s been a crazy year with Starbucks.

While we’ve loved getting free Starbucks and free delivery at various points throughout the year, and have been excited about earning rewards regardless of payment method, we’ve also seen temporary and permanent closures as well as confusion surrounding reusable cups.

But Starbucks has done a great job of keeping us (and frontline workers) caffeinated during a tough year, and they’ll keep it going into the New Year.

Here’s what you need to know:

Starbucks gave 50,000 Spotify users a free drink.

Although this promotion ended pretty quickly, Starbucks promises additional opportunities to earn Starbucks Rewards and free drinks soon.

If you managed to get the Spotify promotion, look in your Starbucks Rewards account to see enough Stars to score a free handcrafted drink.

Sadly, Starbucks Happy Hour is likely cancelled for December & January.

Starbucks Happy Hour happens every few weeks from 2-7PM, bringing BOGO free drinks to the masses.

According to a companywide memo, the Dec. 3, Dec. 17 and Jan. 7 Happy Hour events were cancelled due to the rising number of cases of COVID-19. They’ll reassess in January.

Get free drinks anytime with Starbucks Rewards.

Starbucks Rewards members earn 2 stars for every $1.00 spent. Earn 25 stars to get a free extra shot of espresso, and earn 125 stars to get that free handcrafted drink.

And cut down on how much you spend to earn those stars by purchasing a discounted Starbucks gift card from Raise.com.
