Listen, we all want free Starbucks every day, am I right? But we don't always have the 200 Starbucks Rewards points racked up in order to get a free handcrafted beverage. That’s why I'm tracking all the current Starbucks offers and discounts, including all the major Starbucks deals happening this month.
While Starbucks lovers saw promo after promo this summer and into September — with 2 for $10 every weekend and Triple Stars every Tuesday — October is not going to offer the same deals. In the information provided to Starbucks Partners for the month of October, Starbucks said they'll be pulling back on broad offers and focusing on seasonal and core offerings starting with the Starbucks holiday launch on Nov. 7, 2024.
Expect October to be a quiet month at Starbucks — a relief for the baristas, I'm sure. Instead, check your Starbucks app for account-specific offers based on your Starbucks habits. In fact, right now select Starbucks Rewards members have an offer for $3 drinks from Oct. 2 - 4. Check your app to see if you're one of the lucky ones.
You can still enjoy drinks from the Starbucks fall menu — which launched on Tuesday, Sept. 19 — including the Pumpkin Spice Latte and new pecan drinks. Starbucks Halloween cups are also still on shelves — including the popular slime drip cups we saw last year.

$3 Drinks for select Rewards members
Select Starbucks Rewards members have an offer in their app for $3 handcrafted drinks from Oct. 2 - 4. This is my favorite offer at Starbucks, and it's even better this time around because it's valid any time of day for the 3-day period (in the past, it's been noon - 6 p.m. only).
Get the best value when you order venti drinks — especially Frappuccinos. If you're lucky enough to have this offer iny our app, activate the coupon in your Starbucks app and order any menu-size drink (short, tall, grande, venti, or trenta) for just three bucks through Oct. 4.
Aim to get at least 50% off to make the most of this deal.

Birthday Rewards
Make sure to enter your birthday when you sign up for Starbucks Rewards. The free Starbucks birthday drink reward is a free handcrafted drink (regularly $5.95), bottled beverage (regularly $4.95), or food item (regularly $7.25) on your birthday. It’s one of the best Starbucks Rewards perks.
Starbucks Rewards
Most Starbucks offers are for Starbucks Rewards members who have an active account in the Starbucks app. But what does being a member of the Starbucks Rewards Program actually get you? Unfortunately, not as much as it used to. In February 2023, the coffee chain updated its rewards program requiring more Stars for certain purchases. Coffee — which was a 50 Star item — became worth 100 Stars. That being said, this is still a very worthwhile loyalty program if you're a Starbucks fan.
You earn two Stars for every $1 spent when you add a Starbucks gift card to your Rewards account and use it to pay. Or get one Star for every $1 spent when you pay with cash or credit, using the “Scan Only” feature in the app.

Starbucks Triple Star Days
Starbucks Double and Triple Star Days happen sporadically throughout the year, but in September we saw them every Tuesday. Use this deal to try the new Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, hot or iced, regularly $6.25 and $6.45, respectively. You'll earn 18.75 stars for the hot drink and 19.35 stars for the iced drink.
Be sure to check your Starbucks app early and activate the offer so you're all set to earn your Stars during the promotions. You earn triple points on all your Starbucks purchases, helping you reach your free Starbucks goals more quickly.
2 Drinks for $10 or 4 Drinks for $20
This isn't one of my favorite Starbucks deals, but it's worth grabbing if you're already planning a coffee run. At best, you'll save around 30% on a drink during this sale, which is well under my usual goal of 50% off.
Each of these deals works out to $5 a drink. To get the best value out of this deal, you need to order drinks that have a menu price over $5. Customizations and add-ons cost extra, so be sure the regular price is over $5 to get an actual deal.

Starbucks 50% Off Drinks
For a while this summer, I saw these promos at least once per month — in July I saw one on Friday, July 12, July, 23 and then on Aug. 9. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when we see these Starbucks half-off coupons, but they're usually valid from noon to 6 p.m. when they're happening. While we don't see any on the schedule for October, sometimes they offer account-specific coupons to select Rewards members in the Starbucks app.
Starbucks BOGO Events
Check for an offer in your Starbucks app for Starbucks BOGO drinks. You'll have to activate the offer in your Starbucks app, and it will be valid from noon - 6 p.m on BOGO days.
The last BOGO offer I saw was on June 28, 2024. In fact, there were three Starbucks BOGO offers in June, but none in July, August, or September, and none slated for October. Bummer.
When you see the offer, you can buy one handcrafted beverage and get the second one (of equal or lesser value) free.

Does Starbucks still do $3 Thursdays?
I haven't seen a Starbucks $3 Thursday since Thursday, Jan. 25. There have been no announcements for another $3 Thursday in the immediate future.
When can I get free Starbucks?
You’ll get Starbucks free coffee when you hit 100 Stars in the Starbucks Rewards app. Or hit 200 Stars to earn a free Starbucks handcrafted beverage.
Starbucks BOGO free events are also a prime time to score a free drink. They typically happen on Thursdays or weekends from noon - 6 p.m.
Does Starbucks offer other discounts?
Yes, I frequently see personalized discounts offered for rewards members in the Starbucks app. The offers are usually app-specific and customers who visit Starbucks less frequently tend to get the better offers (as a strategy to get you back in the store).
I’ve recently seen offers for 40% off your purchase, $2 - $4 off your order, and grande drinks for $4.
