If you haven’t heard about Aldi Advent calendars yet, you’ll probably hear about them now that it’s December. The third wave of Aldi Advent Calendars for 2023 arrived on Dec. 6, with three all-new advent calendars in the Aldi Weekly Ad.
The Aldi Advent calendars are always released in waves. The first batch of 20 came out on Nov. 1, and the second batch (with just one new calendar) arrived on Nov. 29. The final few calendars arrived on Dec. 6. With wine, cheese, and even hard seltzer surprises nestled inside, these countdown calendars sell out quickly at Aldi, and for good reason.
If you’re hoping to grab one, we recommend heading to the store first thing in the morning on each release date. Aldi employees gave out tickets before stores opened on Nov. 1 because of high demand. People especially wanted their beer and wine Advent calendars!
There are a few things you don’t want to buy at Aldi due to their price points, but these limited-quantity Advent calendars aren’t one of them.

Aldi Advent calendars come out in three waves, and the final wave was on Dec. 6, 2023.
The first batch of 2023 Aldi Advent calendars hit stores on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and the second wave arrived on Nov. 29. The third wave was released on Dec. 6. You’ll likely be able to claim your spot in line about an hour before your store opens. They usually provide tickets when you arrive so you’ll know if you’ll make it inside to even get an Advent calendar.
In 2022, the first batch of Aldi Advent calendars came out in stores on Nov. 2, with the second round out on Nov. 23. They had new calendar varieties rolling out throughout November and early December, with the final release on Dec. 7, 2022.
And before you even think about skipping the line and ordering them online, you should know that Aldi’s Advent calendars are not eligible for Aldi grocery pickup.
TIP: Not all Aldi stores sell Advent calendars containing alcohol. In certain states, alcohol sales at grocery stores aren’t permitted by law. But if your store does, you’ll be limited to purchasing only one alcohol Advent calendar per person.
Does Aldi restock their Advent calendars?
Aldi doesn’t restock seasonal or limited-time items like the Advent calendar, so if you’re looking to snag one, be sure to head to your Aldi store early on release day.
There are a bunch of new Advent calendars this year — with Bluey toys, cider, and even slime surprises inside.
The Aldi website shows all 20+ different Advent calendars from the Nov. 1, Nov. 29, and Dec. 6 releases. In the Aldi Finds ad, doesn’t list the prices for the alcoholic advent calendars.
I compared the list to what was on sale last year and found quite a few new ones, like a Merry Moments Advent Garland with 25 mini stockings for $9.99. This year, Aldi is offering a smaller and cheaper wine advent calendar.

Prices are pretty much identical to last year — from $1.49 (chocolate) to $59.99 (wine).
Last year we got 26 Aldi Advent calendars with the first release, so the 2023 calendar lineup is just a little smaller.
The first round of releases included the highly sought-after Aldi Wine Advent Calendar, the Beer Advent Calendar, the Emporium Selection Advent Cheese Calendar, and two different Lego Advent calendars.

TIP: You should know that Aldi’s return policy — aka the “Twice as Nice” guarantee — isn’t valid on the Advent calendars. But who would want to return their Advent calendar, anyway?

How much are the Advent calendars at Aldi?
Depending on which Advent calendar you choose will determine the price. The hottest item is the wine Advent calendar. It includes 24 187-mL bottles of wine from around the world and has a price tag of $59.99. The beer Advent calendar includes 24 12-ounce cans for $49.99.
The cheese Advent calendar is $16.99. The bigger chocolate Advent calendars start at $8.99, and the smaller ones go as low as $1.49. The toy Advent calendars start at $17.99 and go up to $29.99. You can even get a candle Advent calendar for as low as $4.99.
Along with the rising cost of groceries, some of the prices of these Advent calendars increased in 2022 from the previous year. But lucky for us, the wine Advent calendar was cheaper in 2022 than it was in 2021, when it was $99.99!
