As a seasoned shopper and writer at The Krazy Coupon Lady, I have found the best dupes, that I swear by, of the best designer fragrances. And my newest find: the brand new Perfect Scents Platinum Collection at CVS that can't be missed. The new perfume line features nine dupes of the best designer fragrances — even Le Labo and Tom Ford — and a 3.4-oz bottle is just $19.99 (and there's a stackable deal going on — more on that below!). Plus, there is a fragrance tester bar so you can try any Perfect Scents fragrance before you buy. You can find the new scents in the perfume aisle at your local CVS!
If you haven't heard of the Perfect Scents brand, it's the #1 fragrance dupe at CVS, and the NEW Perfect Scents Platinum Collection is the company’s highest concentrated, longest lasting fragrance line yet. The new scents are inspired by iconic brands — including the world’s most loved and contemporary fragrances. When I went to my CVS to stock up on this stackable deal and compare them to the iconic perfume brands, I could not believe how these scents smelled — and the value in the $19.99 price. I stocked up for upcoming holiday gifts, teacher gifts and more, especially because of the stackable deal happening now at CVS.
Here's how the savings work: Now through Nov. 25, you can get a bottle for as low as $9.99 at CVS, where the Perfect Scents Platinum Collection is exclusively sold in-store only. All nine scents are on sale for $14.99, and select CVS ExtraCare members will also find stackable coupons for $3 off/1 or $10 off/2. (Note that these fragrances cannot be ordered online and are only available in CVS stores).
Here's a breakdown of each new Perfect Scents Platinum Collection perfume at CVS, how to save on them with this current deal, and how the cost compares to the luxury perfume brands.
1. Patchouli Musk smells just like Creed’s Aventus, but costs 97% cheaper.
The lowest price we've ever seen Creed's Aventus is at Costco, where you'll pay $319.99 for a 3.3-oz bottle. That breaks down to $96.97 per ounce. At CVS, you can get a 3.4-oz bottle of Patchouli Musk for as low as 9.99, or $2.94/oz, making this dupe 97% cheaper than the designer option.
2. Cassis Amberwood is inspired by MFK's Baccarat Rouge 540, and costs $305 less (and that's before extra savings).
Baccarat Rouge 540 is only sold at high-end stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, where you'll pay $325 for a 2.4-oz bottle. This fragrance never goes on sale and costs $135 per ounce. But even if you paid full price ($19.99) for this dupe, you could still buy 16 bottles of Cassis Amberwood for the price of one Baccarat Rouge 540.
3. Woody Vanilla smells similar to Tom Ford’s Black Orchid — and is $150 less.
You can spend $159.99 for a 3.4-oz bottle on Costco.com, or you can use this Perfect Scents dupe that smells just as good and costs $150 less.
4. Amber Fougere perfume is inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male, but is priced at $9.99 compared to the $115 designer pricetag.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male costs $115 at Macy's and Ulta, and you can find it for a great price — $77 — right now at Walgreens. But that 33% savings doesn't beat what you'll pay for its dupe, Amber Fougere. Instead of spending $18.33/oz at Walgreens, you'll pay $2.94/oz at CVS for the Perfect Scents dupe.
5. Bergamot Amber is $9.99 and smells like Dior's Sauvage, which costs $180.
A 3.4-oz bottle of Dior's Sauvage costs $180 at Ulta, or $52.94/oz. I've also seen a few dupe attempts online, but at $29 (minus shipping and handling) each one costs three times as much as what you'll pay for Bergamot Amber right now at CVS.
6. Coastal Sage is inspired by Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt, but you get 10 times that amount in a bottle.
Before I found this dupe, I paid $24 for a tiny .34-oz bottle of Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt at Macy's. But you'll get 10 times that amount in a bottle of Coastal Sage from Perfect Scents — and pay as low as $9.99 through Nov. 25.
7. Floral Amber smells like Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, which is $36.76 per ounce (compared to $3 per ounce).
The lowest price we've seen Coco Mademoiselle is $250 for a 6.8-oz bottle at Chanel.com, which breaks down to $36.76 per ounce. A bottle of Floral Amber at CVS, however, will cost you just under $3 per ounce.
8. Smoldering Sandalwood is inspired by Le Labo's Santal 33, and it costs $210 less.
If you're lucky, you can find select Le Labo fragrances — like Santal 33 — priced at $229.99 on Costco.com. But that's still $67.65 per ounce. And unfortunately, I've never been able to find a Santal 33 dupe that didn't make me nauseous, until I tried Smoldering Sandalwood at CVS.
9. Tonka Tobacco will cost you $405 less than Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.
Tonka Tobacco is a dupe of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, which costs $425 for a 3.4-oz bottle. Even if you're able to find this one at Costco.com, you'll pay $105.88 per ounce, while this Perfect Scents Platinum Collection dupe comes in at just under $3 per ounce.
