I’m disappointed that the Dairy Queen $0.85 Blizzard deal didn’t return in 2024. It’s arguably one of the best Dairy Queen deals in recent years. So if that deal is gone for good, what are some of the best prices on the Dairy Queen menu in 2024? 

This guide to Dairy Queen menu prices shows you the current prices and best values for everything on the menu. Spoiler: the prices have gone up exponentially in recent years. As of May 2023, prices have increased by 11% in just two years. Large Blizzards average around $6 — I’ve heard as much as $9 in some areas — and a plain ol’ cheeseburger is $3.29 (up 84% from the $1.79 price in 2014).

So how can you save money at Dairy Queen? After reviewing all the current DQ prices, I’ve decided that your best bets are the $7 Meal Deal, 6-pack Dilly Bars, and splitting a large Blizzard into two servings. Here’s everything you need to know about the Dairy Queen menu prices in 2024.

Dairy Queen Blizzard Prices

So how much is a Blizzard at Dairy Queen in 2024? Prices start at $3.99 for a mini and go up to $5.79 for a large. This is above and beyond inflation, so if you can find a deal on a cheap Blizzard — like the BOGO free or $0.85 Blizzards — pounce immediately.

The Blizzards we know and love were introduced in 1985 at just $1.29 for 12 ounces and $1.99 for 21 ounces. This works out to $0.11 and $0.09 per ounce, respectively. Following the rate of inflation, a 12-ounce Blizzard should cost $3.72 in 2024, but instead it's closer to four and a half bucks at most locations.

The bigger sizes of Blizzards are the best value per ounce. The price per ounce increases as the sizes get smaller.

Get more for your money: Grab a 21-ounce large Blizzard and share between two people. You’ll each pay just $2.90 and get 10.5 ounces apiece.

Dairy Queen Seasonal Blizzard Prices

Dairy Queen releases a new Blizzard flavor every month, plus limited-time seasonal flavors. These seasonal Blizzards are the same price as the classic flavors. They aren't a secret menu item, you'll find them on the regular menu. 

Dairy Queen BOGO Blizzard Deal in April

You'll see a BOGO free Blizzard deal drop on April 1, 2024 along with the Dairy Queen Summer Blizzard menu. This deal runs through April 14. If you grab two large-size Blizzards, it works out to just $0.14 per ounce. And if you use our tip above and split the two large Blizzards between four people, it’s just $1.45 apiece. 

The $0.85 Blizzard deal they've had in the past is also a good one because it works out to just $0.07 per ounce, (which is even better than the original price back in 1985!) and saves you 81%. I'm hoping to see the $0.85 Blizzard deal return in September to celebrate the launch of the Dairy Queen Fall Blizzard menu.

Dairy Queen Ice Cream Menu Prices

If you’re looking for something a bit more basic than a Blizzard, you can grab a classic treat. They’ve got vanilla cones, chocolate-dipped cones, and ice cream bars. 

Menu Hack: If you enjoy Dilly Bars, Buster Bars, or DQ Sandwiches, consider purchasing a six-pack for a better deal. You can then bring some home and freeze them for later. You’ll save a little over $3 by buying the six-packs (or 22% - 24%).

For the absolute best deal, watch for Dairy Queen Free Cone Day in March to celebrate the start of spring. You'll see the next free cone day on March 20, 2025.

Your best bet is definitely the $7 Meal Deals, which are included at the top of this chart and come with an Original Cheeseburger, fries, 21-oz. drink, and a small sundae. The cost of buying these separately is $11.76, so you save $4.76 or 40.5% with the $7 Cheeseburger meal deal.

Chicken Strip Baskets

Just like I did with the burgers, I have to recommend the $7 Meal Deal for chicken strips. With the meal deal you get three chicken strips, fries, 21-oz. drink, and a small sundae.

Yes, I know the basket comes with four strips and the Meal Deal only has three. But hear me out. You're getting a small sundae with the Meal Deal — which is regularly $3.49. And that's a much better value than a measly single chicken strip, in my opinion.

Dairy Queen offers two salads. Grab a side salad with lettuce, tomato, croutons, and your choice of dressing. Try the Crispy Chicken Strips Salad Bowl with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, cheddar, crispy chicken strips, and ranch dressing on the side.
