In 2021 Lowe’s introduced a new springtime promotion: They gave away free Garden-to-go Kits to customers each week throughout the entire month of April.

The kits, which are designed for kids or families to complete together, ranged from take-home tree saplings to a DIY butterfly garden kit. We’ll tell you exactly when we’re expecting 2022’s promotion to begin, and how you can register for a kit of your own.

Oh, and make sure to download the Krazy Coupon Lady app and “favorite” the KCL Lowe’s deals page so you can stay on top of all the best sales and tips.

Lowe’s Garden-to-go kits were available every Thursday in April 2021.

Given that Lowe’s Garden-to-go Kits were so popular in 2021, we’re definitely expecting them to return for SpringFest 2022.

To register for a kit, plan on signing up for the Garden-to-go Kits as soon as possible. You’ll have to set an alarm for midnight Eastern Time a week before each kit is released (for Pacific Time that’s 9 p.m. Wednesdays).

Then, every Thursday of SpringFest, you’d pick up a Garden-to-go kit curbside with your order, or grab it in store at the customer service desk.

Below we’ve included all of the Garden-to-go Kits Lowe’s released in 2021. We’ll update this story when we learn which kits will drop in 2022.

The first Lowe’s Garden-to-go Kit released April 8.

The first Lowe’s SpringFest freebie was a Miracle Grow Garden-to-go kit that included unique recipes from Amanda Frederickson, a food stylist and pro cook. The kit was available on Thursday, April 8.

Lowe’s second Garden-to-go Kit, the Mystery Garden Piñata, released April 15.

For the second Garden-to-go kit, Lowe’s gave away the Mystery Garden Piñata, which came with mystery seed packets and growfetti (confetti made out of biodegradable seed paper). Registration began at midnight Eastern on April 8, 2021.

Lowe’s Garden-to-go Kit on April 22 was a tree sapling.

In honor of Earth Day, Lowe’s gave away 500,000 tree saplings for this Garden-to-go kit. Registration began at midnight Eastern on April 15, 2021.

Lowe’s last Garden-to-go Kit of 2021, a butterfly garden, released on April 29.

On April 29, Lowe’s released their final Garden-to-go Kit: a Butterfly Quest kit that contained wood to build a butterfly house along with paint, paintbrush, and seeds to dress it up. Registration began at midnight Eastern on April 22, 2021.

Lowe’s will bring your Garden-to-go Kit out to your car for curbside pickup.

If Lowe’s runs their Garden-to-go Kit program the same way they ran it in 2021, then you might not ever have to even venture in stores. After registering online, all you’ll need to do is pull up in front of your local Lowe’s for curbside pickup.

In 2021, pickup time was always between 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
