Each year Macy's celebrates Independence Day with a weeklong sale featuring savings of up to 70% on everything from apparel to mattresses. This particular sale happens once annually, typically two weeks before Macy's Black Friday in July sale. This is one of Macy's bigger sales, and it happens just once a year, unlike its more regular sales like the Macy's One Day Sale or regular Macy’s clearance, which is available to shop every day of the week.

Rules vary on which products earn this bonus. Normally, you get just 1 Star Point per dollar spent.
