The new Starbucks holiday cups will hit shelves on Thursday, Nov. 5 along with the new Starbucks holiday menu. We're seeing a whole Bearista collection, with a fuzzy keychain, a sparkly pink Starbucks x Owala, and a glass Christmas tree cold cup that could outshine the return of last year's glass Bearista cold cup.

Pretty much all of these cups are going to be pricey , y'all. But there's usually a couple mugs at $19.95 or less that you can get for FREE with 400 Starbucks Stars. Or, new this year, you can take $2 off with 60 Stars. And we can't forget about the free reusable cup on Red Cup Day with the purchase of any holiday beverage.

How to Get the Starbucks Holiday Cups for Less

Yes, you can save money on Starbucks cups. First, become a member of the free Starbucks Rewards Program, if you aren't already. Second, register a Starbucks gift card and keep it loaded to pay for all of your Starbucks purchases, so you’ll earn free stuff twice as fast.

Here’s how to save on Starbucks fall cups.

1. Collect 400 Starbucks Stars (equals $20).

Rewards members earn one Star for every $1 spent. Pay with a preloaded Starbucks card, and get two Stars for every $1 spent. And 400 Stars gets you free Starbucks cups. You can use 400 Starbucks Stars to redeem $20 worth of Starbucks merchandise, including Starbucks holiday cups.

And that means yes, any cup priced at $20 or less is FREE with these stars.

2. Visit on Red Cup Day

Starbucks Red Cup Day is an annual November tradition. Guests can stop by for any holiday beverage and get a free reusable 16-ounce red holiday cup. Plus, bring your own reusable cup to Starbucks anytime and get a $0.10 discount on your drink. This year, I'm predicting Red Cup Day will be on Thursday, Nov. 12.

3. Buy with discounted gift cards.

Get 10% off at Target during their gift card sale in December and use them to buy cups at Target Starbucks locations. Or watch for up to 20% off Starbucks gift cards during Prime Day and Black Friday sales.

4. Shop after-season clearance.

Holiday cups and collab merch typically sells out quickly. But if your store has some left on the shelves, look for them to drop in price around the last week of December and into mid-January. You can save 30% - 50% by shopping these clearance deals.
