These Target Featherly Friends collectibles (aka Target Birds) have been flying off the shelves season after season. We barely found the Halloween birds in stock among all the Target Halloween decorations in 2023. But as of Oct. 31, new Target Christmas Birds are officially in stock and available for shipping or pickup on Target.com!
You can compare the popularity of these birds to the Target Toy Shopping Cart — or all the rest of the highly sought-after Target edition toys like the Bullseye plush. Most of the 2023 holiday birds stand about 6.25 – 6.5 inches tall, dressed in festive winter clothing and wearing holiday accessories. Prop them up on your mantle or bookshelf as a Christmas decor piece, or use them for a unique twist on “Elf on the Shelf” this season.
Per usual, the new Christmas Birds are $5 a pop, but you’ll save $0.25 per bird when you pay with your Target RedCard. There are also a few three-piece sets available for $10, plus bigger, more decorated birds with early holiday sale prices.
But don’t forget — Target’s holiday birds sell FAST, and it won’t be long before you start seeing that “out of stock” label on these babies. Either way, I’ll show you how to get your hands on them quickly if inventory starts to dwindle.

Target has over a dozen new $5 Christmas birds in their Featherly Friends collection in 2023.

The new collection of $5 Target Christmas Birds by Wondershop (a Target-owned brand) has Christmas birds dressed as Santa and elves, plus others in stylish winter clothing like white puffer vests and cable knit scarves. We can’t get enough of the Christmas bird wrapped in string lights!
The multi-pack sets are $10 – $15, giving you a price per bird as low as $2.38.

Target also sells Christmas birds in three- and six-piece sets that range from $10 to $15 at regular prices. These value packs will bring your price per bird down below $5 — better than buying them separately. You’ll pay as low as $2.38 per bird with a set of six.
These birds even have their own coordinating props starting at $10.

These birds are so important they even have their own props — like furniture, vehicles, houses, and Christmas scenes.
Target has $10 sleighs, armchairs, and scooters to keep your Christmas birds chirpy through the holidays.
You can also buy $10 houses and Christmas buildings so your birds stay cozy in the cold winter weather.
The nativities are a tad more expensive ($25 reg. price) but include three birds and a full Christmas setup.
Grab seven mini Christmas bird ornaments for under $20 with your RedCard.
New to the Featherly Friends collection are Christmas bird ornaments styled just like the Featherly Friends characters. They come in at $3 apiece, but your RedCard will bring it down to $2.85 per bird.
Target also has new $5 holiday felt duos this year — Christmas trees, candy canes, hot cocoa, and more.

These fan-favorite felt duos at Target are also back for the 2023 holiday season! Perfectly themed for Christmas, some of the $5 felt duos include Christmas trees, gifts, hot cocoa, and more. There’s even a “naughty” vs. “nice” felt duo — a red stocking and a lump of coal.
Can’t find a Target Bird in stock? Click the “Notify me when it’s back” button to sign up for restock alerts.
The best way to get your hands on an out-of-stock item online is to subscribe to Target restock emails. You can subscribe right from the product page. Instead of the regular “add to cart” button, you’ll see a “notify me when it’s back” option. Click on that button and type in your email. You’ll get an email alert (and an app alert if you have the Target app) when the item gets restocked online.
Pay with your Target RedCard to save at least $0.25 per Christmas bird at regular prices.
These $5 birds drop to $4.75 apiece when you pay with your Target RedCard, all thanks to the exclusive 5% discount for members. And you’ll score even bigger savings on the $10 and $15 multi-piece sets.
Target’s new Christmas birds are just one of many reasons to sign up for a RedCard (debit, credit, or reloadable account), ahead of the holiday season. But really, saving an extra 5% on Target Black Friday prices is all the justification you need.
