Here’s how it works: Spend $25 or more online or in stores, and Kohl’s will give you $10 in Kohl’s Cash that you can apply to the same transaction. This is different from the usual Kohl’s Cash promotion, where the reward must be used on a future purchase. Online, you can use a coupon code to take the additional $10 off, and it even works on top brands like Nike, Carter’s, Ninja, and more.

The Instant Kohl's Cash Event saves $10 on your transaction of $25 or more.
Kohl's began this event in June 2025, and Kohl's Cash works a little differently during this sale. Usually, when you earn Kohl's Cash, you have to wait until your next transaction to use it. Also, you generally earn $10 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend.
But for this event, you get to use your Kohl's Cash on the same transaction, so it works like a $10 coupon. Also, you get $10 for spending just $25 instead of $50 (not counting Sephora purchases, gift cards, and Kohl's Cares).
KCL predicts the next Instant Kohl's Cash Event will run June 24 - 28.
Granted, we only have two dates to go by since this sale has only happened twice. But we suspect (hope?) Kohl's will bring it back the same time it did last year and start it the last Wednesday in June.

Tips for Shopping the Instant Kohl's Cash Event
The Instant Kohl's Cash Event works both online and in-store.
Instant Kohl's Cash is an online and in-store event.
Shopping in a store? If your total hits $25 or more at checkout, you'll get the $10 in Kohl's Cash applied instantly, taking your total down by $10. Shopping online? You'll use a promo code to use your instant Kohl's Cash.
You don't have to wait to get or spend your $10 Kohl's Cash.
Typically, when you earn Kohl's Cash on a purchase, you don't receive it right away and have to wait until your next transaction to use it. But for this event, you get your Kohl's Cash instantly, and you can use your Kohl's Cash right then and there, on the same transaction if you want.
Instant Kohl's Cash works on brands for which you normally can't use coupons.
Only some brands are eligible for regular Kohl's coupons, while plenty are excluded, including Carter's and Nike. But you can redeem Kohl's Cash to buy those excluded brands. And that's the cool part about this event — because you're earning Kohl's Cash, you get to use that instant $10 on pretty much every brand Kohl's sells, even the ones excluded from coupons.
In other words, a normal $10 off coupon code won't work on excluded brands like Carter's and Nike. But the Instant Kohl's Cash totally does.
You have to spend $25 to get the Instant Kohl's Cash, and there are some limitations.
You can put pretty much anything in your cart to hit that $25 threshold, but there are a few exceptions: Sephora purchases, gift cards, and products from the Kohl's Cares kids' line.
