Got cabin fever? We get it. Get through the winter blues by planning your next trip with the spring Southwest Airlines sale — tickets are as low as $39! Here are our tips for making the most of your (hopefully sun-filled) trip.
Book now — you can only purchase Southwest Airlines sale tickets until January 23.
Set your alarm clock, people: the spring Southwest Airlines sale goes until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 23. Though many $39 one-ways are available, the best savings can be found by exploring available routes (more on that below). It’s also worth noting that you need to book tickets to the continental U.S. — aka the Lower 48 — two weeks in advance.
Take an oceanside vacation. Because, why not?
Just make you sure you pay attention to dates when you book. Want to island hop in Hawaii? You should, because these $39 tickets between Honolulu and Maui won’t last (they’re usually $100 or more). The sale only applies to inter-island Hawaii travel between February 4 and May 20. Looking for a Caribbean vacay? Do it. Just book your trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico between February 4 and March 5.
Travel to your ideal destination from a larger airport for the best airfare deals.
Southwest has 101 destinations, including 14 international ones. Here are the lowest one-way prices for some of the airline’s most popular routes:

- Denver to Phoenix: $46
- Columbus to Orlando: $79
- Ft. Lauderdale to Chicago: $49
