You won’t find tips like “buy used on eBay” or “check out garage sales” here — nope!

Because I’m not talking about used gear. I’m talking about saving actual dollars on new, expensive baby gear brands.

Let’s get started:

1. Ask for Amazon’s price on baby gear at Pottery Barn Kids.

Did you know that Pottery Barn Kids will price match select competitors like Amazon, Target, Nordstrom, Buy Buy Baby and more?

It must be the exact same item sold by both stores, but since Pottery Barn Kids now sells baby brands like Halo, Medela, Boppy, Owlet, Nuna and more, it’s easy to find a cheaper price on Amazon and ask Pottery Barn to honor it.

2. Add Pottery Barn items you want to a PB registry and get 10% off.

You can create a Pottery Barn registry for literally any reason. So, forget about using PB’s registry for baby showers only.

Pick a date you want to buy your items, make that your “event” date, and you’ll get 10% off everything on that registry for up to six months after your event date.

TIP: If you know you’ll be shopping Pottery Barn a lot, spring for the PB credit card. You’ll get 10% back on every purchase — making it one of the best credit cards on the market. That’s an additional 10% off if you’re already getting 10% off by using the registry.

3. Buy Baby Gap clothes in December, January, April, July or October.

Only buy Baby Gap clothes when you can get them for at least half off. Truth be told, you can easily get them for up to 75% off when you shop during seasonal sales Gap runs in December, January, April, July and October.

These sales often don’t coincide with promotions for earning or spending Gap Cash, but that’s OK because Gap Cash is only a 50% discount at most. When you can, buy when you can save more like 75% through sales and ignore Gap Cash.

4. Shop Kohl’s and JCPenney for the best deals on Carter’s brand.

Kohl’s and JCPenney consistently have the best deals on Carter’s bodysuits, 3-piece outfits and sleepers.

Look for Carter’s sales during Kohl’s Cash earning periods to stock up.

5. Use 20%-off Bed Bath & Beyond coupons at Buy Buy Baby.

Buy Buy Baby is owned by Bed Bath & Beyond, so go ahead and use your 20%-off Bed Bath & Beyond coupons there.

Shop online if you don’t have a Buy Buy Baby in your city. If you have one in your city, ask if you can buy a floor model bouncer, swing or travel system at a discounted price.

6. Use Ibotta rebates to save on diapers and formula — even at Costco!

Ibotta offers come and go, but we’ve seen plenty of rebates for baby supplies like diapers, formula, baby food, baby wash and more.

And even though Costco doesn’t accept manufacturer coupons, you can certainly use Ibotta rebates. Just take a picture of your receipt and unlock the Ibotta offer. Ibotta will put anywhere from $0.25-$5.00 in your PayPal account, depending on the offer you’re redeeming.

7. Buy brands like Maxi-Cosi, BOB and Nuna from Albee Baby to save up to 60%.

Albee Baby is a website selling top baby gear brands for less than retail price. Look for up to 60% savings on Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, BOB car seats, strollers, bouncers and swings (for Nuna and Maxi-Cosi).

To find the best prices, shop the “Sale” section of the website.

Shipping is free when you spend $49 or more, or a $4.95 flat rate if you spend less than $49.

8. Look for brands like Graco, Evenflo and aden + anais at T.J.Maxx.

Plan to save up to 40% on these brands when you see them at T.J.Maxx. Of course, the trick is locating inventory because it’s so variable at T.J.Maxx.

Shop often and buy when you find something with a price tag you like.

9. Buy cribs and nursery furniture at IKEA.

Nobody beats IKEA on furniture price, and when you’re buying furniture your child will only use for a few years, it makes the most sense to shop IKEA.

You can get a convertible (crib to toddler) bed for $119 at IKEA. Compared to a similar style of convertible crib at Target, you’ll save $50 when you shop IKEA.

TIP: If you don’t live near an IKEA and shipping is outrageous, realize they charge a flat rate for shipping and save up to buy as much furniture as you’ll need for the next decade, all at once.

10. Buy Stokke high chairs at Target with your REDcard to save 5%.

Stokke Tripp-Trapp high chairs are $249.99 everywhere — Target, Walmart, Amazon, Buy Buy Baby and Albee Baby.

To save more, buy it at Target and use your Target REDcard to save 5%. It’s not much, but it’s something!

11. Use Kohl’s Cash to create your own sale on Britax convertible car seats.

You can’t use the 20%-off Bed Bath & Beyond coupon to buy Britax brand at Buy Buy Baby because Britax is listed as a coupon exclusion.

However, if you want Britax when it’s time for you to ditch the infant seat and buy a convertible seat, there’s still a way to get it for less.

Shop Kohl’s for items you need during Kohl’s Cash earning periods (about once a month). Then spend all your Kohl’s Cash to buy a Britax car seat.

Plus, Kohl’s doesn’t list Britax as a coupon exclusion, so if you have a coupon to stack with Kohl’s Cash, you’ll save even more.
