Travel Tuesday happens the day after Cyber Monday and, tbh, it’s really just a catchy name for flash flight deals and other winter travel sales. Airlines, hotels, and even vacation rental sites offer up discounts for Black Friday through Cyber Monday and on Travel Tuesday.

Travel Tuesday deals aren’t truly jaw dropping, but they're worth checking if you have travel plans in the coming new year. You’ll typically see one-way fares under $100, bonus point offers, or vacation package discounts in these sales.

So is Travel Tuesday the cheapest day to book flights for the upcoming year? It very well could be. Winter does tend to be a slow time for travel, so fares are typically lower for many destinations — add in bonus points or discounted packages, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good deal. Bonus Tip: Plan travel Sunday to Thursday to avoid weekend fares and get the lowest-of-the-low prices.

Travel Tuesday is an annual event where companies offer some of the year’s best travel deals.

Travel Tuesday capitalizes on Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping momentum with some of the biggest travel deals of the year. These deals include flights starting at $29, discounted hotel stays, vacation packages, and reduced-price cruises.

While it’s called “Travel Tuesday,” we’ve seen some Travel Tuesday deals start out as Black Friday flight deals and last all week — with many taking place on Cyber Monday.

The next Travel Tuesday is on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2025.

Travel Tuesday is always the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the day after Cyber Monday. In 2025, Thanksgiving takes place on Thursday, Nov. 27, setting up Travel Tuesday for Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The Best Travel Tuesday Flight Deals We Saw in 2024

Allegiant

Travlers got up to 40% off one-way base fares in the Allegiant Travel Tuesday Sale. This dropped select flights — like Pittsburgh to Key West or Chicago to Destin — as low as $38. Travel was through Aug. 25, 2025.

Amazon

If you didn't know about Amazon travel deals — it's time you learned. As part of their Cyber Week Travel Deals, Amazon had exclusive Black Friday flight deals with American Airlines. We found flights under $100 during the Black Friday sale. Plus, there was 25% off Hyatt, up to 50% off Princess Cruises, and more when you booked through the Amazon Cyber Week Travel Deals page.

American Airlines

One-way fares for under $100 to over 50 U.S. destinations in the American Airlines Black Friday sale. Dates were limited, and this offer couldn't be combined with any other promotions. We also saw round-trip fares under $300 to destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico.

Breeze Airways

The Breeze Airways Black Friday sale had one-way fares for as low as $29. This is a smaller airline, but there were destinations like Orlando, New Orleans, Charleston, and more with one-way fares from $29 - $99 depending on your departure airport.

Frontier Airlines

One-way tickets were as low as $19 in the Frontier Cyber Sale. These fares were only available on select Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday flights.

JetBlue

One-way fares as low as $49 in the JetBlue Cyber Fundays sale. They also had lights with a two-night hotel stay from $135 per person. These Travel Tuesday deals were not valid on Friday and Sunday travel — so no long weekends and you had to use some PTO days.

Southwest Vacations Black Friday Sale

If you booked a flight and hotel package during the Southwest Vacations Black Friday sale by Dec. 9, 2024, at 6 p.m. CT, you got $150 - $500 off your package.

JetBlue Vacations Black Friday Sale

Travelers could ave up to $750 on hotel and flight vacation packages when booked by Dec. 4 in the JetBlue Vacations Black Friday sale.

Mariott Bonvoy Cyber Sale

Marriott Bonvoy members (free to join) could get up to 25% off last-minute weekend stays at over 7,000 participating properties. Booking with Bonvoy online got you 20% off, or by booking in the Mariott Bonvoy app you'd get 25% off.

From Nov. 22 - Dec. 4, 2024, One Key members (free to join) had the following deals available:
