Although you aren’t going to be spending Cinco de Mayo at your favorite Mexican restaurant this year, Jose Cuervo wants to pay for your celebratory dinner.
The tequila maker’s #CincoToGo campaign is going to pay for nearly a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of Mexican food over the next week.
Here’s what you need to know:
Tweet your Mexican food receipt to Jose Cuervo for the chance to be reimbursed up to $100.
When you order food from a local, independent Mexican restaurant now through Cinco de Mayo (May 5), take a photo of your receipt and send it to @JoseCuervo with the hashtags #CincoToGo and #CuervoContest. Winners will be reimbursed for their meal receipt, up to $100.
Take-out, curbside pickup, to-go and delivery orders are all eligible.
Although Cuervo’s the sponsor, alcoholic beverages don’t count towards your total.
Neither does sales tax, delivery charges, or tips — so keep that in mind. In related news, you have to be 21 to enter the contest, and your photo submission can’t have anyone under 21 in it.
You could also win $30 toward Mexican food if you enter the contest via email.
Send your receipt and a photo of your favorite Mexican meal, and the name of a local independent Mexican restaurant to CuervoContest@mdmgames.com with the subject line “Jose Cuervo Cinco Sweepstakes.” Make sure to also include your complete name, residential mailing address, birthdate and phone number in the body of the email.
If picked, you’ll win $30 to use at your go-to Mexican restaurant.
They’re picking up to 250 winners every day.

Check your Twitter DMs and email to find out if you’re a winner. Jose Cuervo is awarding up to $22,225 in reimbursements or 250 winners every day (whichever comes first) now through May 7 — or until they award $200,025. Winners are picked at random.
Prizes are sent to winners via Venmo.
Make sure you sign up for a Venmo account if you don’t already have one. If you’re picked as a winner, Jose Cuervo will need your Venmo username to send you the cash. Expect 4 – 8 weeks for prize delivery.
You can enter every day now through 11:59PM on May 6.
But you’ll need a unique receipt every time you enter the contest — no duplicates — and the receipt needs to be time stamped from between April 28 and May 5. And you can only win once. Learn all the details of the #CincoToGo promotion at Cuervo’s website.
