Chick-fil-A’s four-lane drive-thru will start testing in Atlanta, GA.
Right now, the only confirmed four-lane drive-thru from Chick-fil-A will be in Atlanta, GA. There will be two drive-thru lanes dedicated to customers who haven’t ordered through the app and two lanes dedicated to app orders.
Reportedly customers who order through the Chick-fil-A drive-thru spend around eight and a half minutes before they get their food. That’s around two minutes slower than the national average it takes to get through a fast food restaurant’s drive-thru.
The new four-lane concept will be able to handle up to 75 cars. An average drive-thru can only accommodate 10 at a time.

There are Chick-fil-A locations that are drive-thru only.
Chick-fil-A drive-thru restaurants aren’t a totally new concept. There are a few drive-thru-only locations across the United States, with the most recent opening in Hawaii. More Chick-fil-A Mobile Only drive thrus are coming in 2024.
Chick-fil-A has announced that they are planning on creating more drive thrus catered to mobile orders. These “Mobile Thru” locations have already been implemented across 300 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 2023, and in 2024, they hope to expand the program further. You just need to click “Drive-Thru Express” when you checkout.
