Like lots of store loyalty programs, PetSmart's free Treats Rewards program gives you discounts and rewards for purchases all year long. But once a year, PetSmart levels up their perks and freebies during PetSmart Treats Month, which just kicked off on March 1, 2025.
“Members Month is our opportunity to say thank you to our community of loyal customers by providing even more ways to save while celebrating their pet," said Bradley Breuer, PetSmart's vice president of marketing.
During the whole month of March (and into April), Treats Members can earn Treats Points two to five times faster, enter a sweepstakes to win up to $2,000 in rewards, and get $10 in rewards for spending $50 or more. It’s totally free to sign up for the PetSmart Treats program in-store or online — then you'll start earning points which you can cash in for freebies and bonus offers like these.

PetSmart Treats Members Month rewards loyalty members with special freebies and deals once a year.
Once a year, PetSmart offers certain deals, savings, and giveaways just for members of their free Treats Rewards loyalty program.
In addition to a big sweepstakes (with the chance to win one million Treats points worth $2,000 in rewards), you can claim a free custom Shutterfly photo book (worth $37.48), get double or even triple the points on services like grooming, and earn money back when you make certain purchases.
You just need to log in to your Treats account to activate these offers before you shop. Your bonus Treats points get added to your account within 24 hours.
The second-ever PetSmart Treats Members Month started on March 1, 2025.
As confirmed in a March 3 press release, the PetSmart Treats Rewards Members Month kicked off on Saturday, March 1. Even though it's called "Members Month," many of the offers are available through early April or May.
This is the first time we've seen a Treats Members Month since 2023, as they didn't host one at all in 2024.

Through May 31, 2025, Treats members can get a free 20-page hardcover 8x8 photo book from Shutterfly (a $37.48 value). As long as you're signed up for Treats emails, you should receive an email with a unique promo code for this offer. (If you didn't receive the email, just ask a store associate for the promo code.)
Keep in mind that the photo book isn't 100% free, as you do have to cover the taxes and shipping fees. When I built my free Shutterfly photo book using this offer, the cheapest shipping fee was $8.99. But even with the shipping fee, you're still getting 81% off the regular price — and the photo book doesn't even have to be pet-related.
You'll need a Treats membership to unlock these deals (but signing up is free).
The good news is that signing up for PetSmart Treats is super easy — and it’s free. Plus, you’ll earn points on every purchase at PetSmart (every $1 spent gets you 10 points). After you reach 1,000 points, you’ll get a coupon good for $2 off, which is like earning 2% cash back.
Just remember to activate the Members Month offers before you shop, in-store or online.
KCL TIP: PetSmart's points conversion (2% cash back) isn’t quite as good as Petco Rewards (3% cash back), but bonus offers and freebies can make shopping during PetSmart Members Month worth it.
