This annual food holiday highlights one of the most beloved foods and its versatility in things like burritos, burgers, even milkshakes.
Although we don’t have any specific freebies or deals for this upcoming food holiday just yet, we’ve found plenty of bacon deals you can enjoy year-round. Plus, we’ll update this post as soon as restaurants announce their National Bacon Day 2023 freebies and deals. Until then, here’s a look at everyday offerings and National Bacon Day deals we saw in 2022 that we expect will return this year.

National Bacon Day is a day when fast food restaurants discount their bacon menu items.
Restaurants celebrate bacon by offering discounts on some of their menu items that contain bacon. We’ve seen Burger King, Wendy’s, and Potbelly show up for bacon lovers with freebies and deals.
National Bacon Day happens every year on Dec. 30.
National Bacon Day (not to be confused with International Bacon Day in September) is celebrated every year on Dec. 30, and in 2023, it takes place on a Saturday. National Bacon Day was created by Danya “D” Goodman and Meff “Human Cannonball” in 1997 as a way to bring people together with their favorite food.
Everyday Bacon Deals
Five Guys: Add bacon to your milkshake — no charge.
If your local Five Guys has a milkshake machine, you’re in luck. You can add bacon bits to your milkshake at no extra charge year-round, even on National Bacon Day.
There are many more ways you can get Five Guys burgers for cheap.
McDonald’s: Use the McDonald’s Rewards app to get a free Bacon, Egg & Cheese.
You can always get a free Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit (priced at $4.69) when you redeem 6,000 points on your McDonald’s Rewards account.
McDonald’s specials and coupons aren’t rare, and we know the best ways to get cheap (and free) food from McDonald’s.
Sonic Drive-In: Get bacon breakfast burritos for less than $2 on their value meal.
Sonic Drive-In has a bacon breakfast burrito that you can get for about $1.50. These deals can be found under their “Everyday Deals” menu.
You’ll be able to get Sonic Drive-In slushes for cheap all the time.
Starbucks: Get a free bacon breakfast sandwich with your Starbucks Rewards account.
With the Starbucks Rewards program, you can earn a bacon breakfast sandwich (priced at $4.75) for only 150 “Stars” — which is $75 spent. That’ll work on Dec. 30 as well.

National Bacon Day Deals
Burger King: Get a $10 medium Bacon King combo on National Bacon Day.
In 2022, Burger King offered a deal on their medium Bacon King combo (regularly $11.79). On Dec. 30, you could’ve grabbed the combo for only $10 — a 15.2% discount.
There are plenty of ways you can get discounted Burger King meals.
Wendy’s: Get a free bacon burger on National Bacon Day.
In 2022, Wendy’s celebrated National Bacon Day by giving Wendy’s Rewards members a free Junior Bacon Cheeseburger (priced at $3.39) with any purchase.
Plus, they extended the food holiday to Dec. 31 with an offer for a free Breakfast Baconator (regularly $4.99) with any purchase on the Wendy’s app.
The cheapest item you could buy to be valid for the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger was the Junior Frosty ($0.89), and the cheapest item for the Breakfast Baconator was a small coffee ($0.99).
